It's easy, and only takes a few moments. That brings me to my earlier mentioned point he was Mac jonesed last season.. traded away Allen Robinson his only true WR threat.. for nothing...I would take Fields over Mac in a heartbeat. He improved as a passer with absolutely no one on that offense and he is explosive as a runner. With a real coaching staff and some actual NFL players around him he would look significantly better.
Yes totally agree!!! We actually since the collaborative effort as RK mentioned with the draft... since 2020 has actually been good!Yep seems like we have to go the dreaded route of the Draft I think we can really hit if we do our homework. that said I think the stars are aligned this time around with us bringing in guys from the Collège ranks like Bob and Klemm. Offensive Tackle and WR's aren't cheap in FA that's why it's nice to bred and groom your own really hoping they have a say in our Draft process on those positions respectively.
Dunno. This feels like the Jets from two years ago and look how that turned out.Imagine if the Bears did trade Fields, they could take their preferred QB with the #1 overall pick and also have a haul of picks from their Fields trade, PLUS $90M in cap space (most in the league!)
Thanks alot @ the rain maker,Let's give credit to @Real fan 02 for bring up this trade proposal of Jalen Ramey. Now Greg Bedard is on board and mentioned the Pats should trade for him as the Rams need to dump salary.
I was devastated when chicago moved up in front of us.I would take Fields over Mac in a heartbeat. He improved as a passer with absolutely no one on that offense and he is explosive as a runner. With a real coaching staff and some actual NFL players around him he would look significantly better.
Yeah I have a hard time envisioning the Bears actually doing all of that, because they're the Bears (there's a reason they have that much cap space), but it's an interesting scenario to think about.Dunno. This feels like the Jets from two years ago and look how that turned out.
We know how BB feels about Very Good CB's Judon and Uche will be happy with a shut down guy on the back end. Thanks alot @ the rain maker,
When I heard about the Rams needing to dump salary I had a feeling Ramsey and his contract would be mentioned..
Not to sound repetitive, but this is the move patriots NEED to make we have had no answer for Diggs whatsoever, still have to worry about hill/Waddle.. a guy like Ramsey takes this defense to the next level!!!
You think fields would earn the bears a haul of picks?Imagine if the Bears did trade Fields, they could take their preferred QB with the #1 overall pick and also have a haul of picks from their Fields trade, PLUS $90M in cap space (most in the league!)

No Matter what, the team has to be all in on Mac, after entrusting BB to allow him to make the decision of " what's best for the team" supposedly season... it feels like ownership is more involved and wants to ensure everything is done to allow Mac to ascend.. that being said... they will surround him with more talent, he now has the coaching he should have had..I think we will see what Obrein thinks of Mac based on free agency and the draft.
I'm not too sure on how much of his salary we'd actually absorb, I'm sure we'd likely work that out with the rams.. they are the ones who seemingly need to dump salary so they should be willing to wheel and deal...How much of his salary are we absorbing if we trade for him ?
I think if we are not trading for a #1 wr and mostly just doing the moderate improvements offensively, we would need to make this defense dominant in order to compete. Getting a ramsay would be part of that, along with an inside lb who can do it all. Add those to what we have and this is a special unit.
Of course, whichever route we choose wed need to play better special teams as well to have an actual shot at anything.
Maybe they’re asking around to see what the Niners saw that led them to draft him. So maddening. Imagine what we’d have to give up to actually trade for the guy. Think Tyreek was expensive? The draft picks. The amount of money! It would be circus level stupid around here for a long while. Now…maybe Shanny still wants a shot at Mac? How would you feel about that trade? Lance and Deebo for Mac and a 2nd?Hmmm....
Patriots are "sniffing around" Deebo Samuel
On Wednesday's Felger and Mazz, J-Stew's phone gave everyone its latest piece of information and it involves current San Francisco 49ers wide receiver, Deebo985thesportshub.com
Niners take a $28M dead cap hit (and thus lose an additional $19M in cap space vs where they're at now) in 2023 by trading him. They only have around $8M in cap space right now. I can't imagine they'd deal him now. If they wait til after June, they can avoid the huge cap hit but only save a tiny bit of space.Hmmm....
