No matter what preceeded it, we HAD the game in our hands. 1st and goal from around the 5, minute to go. That should be a win. To fumble there is completely and utterly inexcusable. Nothing else in the game matters. Just execute on a couple of plays and we win.
Rham blew it, like he did last week with that garbage lateral.
Directly involved in idiocy that caused 2 straight losses.
Totally UNAWARE of the situation.

Is he perfect? Hell no.

But he hasn't been given the same chance that, say, Tua and Josh Allen have to play with a true WR1. And Patricia and Judge have done more harm than good.
Yeah, but the issue is:

There are still enough games like that Raiders game or the first half of this game where Mac will miss open receivers or be inaccurate

And games like the Vikings game and Bills game and Dolphins game where he'll have a chance to be clutch but screw up

So it probably makes them feel like he'll still **** up even with a true no. 1

We forget: Tua had Davante Parker as his no. 1 WR the last two years, and still had some impressive wins that Mac hasn't had

Bad teams find ways to lose

The fan in time wanted to see them win but the more they lose the better chance for an overhaul that they definitely need

Some better coaching and a few plays going the other way and this team would have 9-10 wins right now, which is amazing considering the terrible play by the offense

Agreed, the loss is for the best

If we're being honest, the Patriots were extremely fortunate to get back in the game. Major choking by Cincinnati, Pick 6, Chase fumble, Patriots get a TD reception off a deflection, etc. Better team won.

Some people seem upset with Bourne (because he was laughing on the sideline?) but today was a measure of vindication for him. At the very least he should not be losing snaps to Thornton.
Agree but what is weird is that 3 or 4 plays go the other way (2 being really bad calls). This is a playoff team - as crappy as they have been on offense and coaching.

Not sure what it means…

Why dies everyone call good defensive plays "luck" or a "fluke"

Jones made a great play to get to the end zone on the pick 6

Judon made a good strip on chase.

The TD was almost caught by a TE of the PS and was heads up by Meyers to do his job.

Are you calling Rhams fumble luck or a fluke when most times that plays is called dead by then

TB didn't have a strong arm when we drafted him, the coaching staff had him work on it for a year before he was the starting QB. Mac's arm can be better with some work.

They ran an intricate offense that stressed the short and intermediate passing game. Brady didn’t need a strong arm then. He needed to be clutch and accurate. Mostly, he was.

Tom had a very strong arm from day one. Look at this throw back in 2003 without even properly setting his legs.

His arm remained strong as he got older which was the unusual part. It's lazy reporting that says he had a weak arm simply because he was a 6th round pick.

Also he is a freak - to expect Mac to be like him just because he is our QB is delusional homerism and nothing else.

No, he didn't have a great arm when he 1st came up, and I expect nothing from Mac, but HOPE his arm gets stronger.
Nice Try though.

Thornton Tyquan needs to work his butt off this offseason.

Mac actually cares that he loses. Now, he shares responsibility for that but he does care about it.

Wilson obviously doesn’t give a s.hit.
He also maintained his confidence in the face of a lot of adversity. Say what you want about his physical talent, Mac is mentally tough enough to be a good QB

Something tells me if you took away the events in Las Vegas they don't come out so poorly here and win this game (maybe both).

He’s the best receiver on the team and he’s been sitting on the bench. Why is that?
Calling him the best receiver is a stretch when he's had 3 drops in 32tgts this season. Certainly the most ELECTRIC.

2003 wasn't "Day 1".

Just sayin', if the Patriots lose the next two games they will probably be around the top 10 in the draft order. They could move up to grab one of the top WRs or Tackles in the draft, then use their cap space to fill their other needs.

I don't want Bill drafting another WR in the 1st, 2nd or 3rd round for a long time.

Kind of excited to see a new team like JAX in the race. Something different..
