Pre-Game Thread- Bills @ Pats (Thursday Night)

I do wonder what itd take to get them back permanently or what the chances are. They look way better than the regular ones and clearly more popular
I think I read somewhere that there is a rule that says teams have to stick with a uniform for 5 seasons, so we're looking at at least 2 more with the ones we have now before we can make a permanent change.

I'll take pretty much any of our previous uniforms over the ones we have currently. They're not bad, just boring. Hopefully a change is made as soon as possible.

PFT trolling the Patriots....

Vegas should offer odds on what's more likely: a Pats red zone TD or a Buffalo punt

Very curious about the "Ugh" and the "Dislike" I was given for my factual post that includes Corky's real time Passing TD stats and a season ending projection based on his 'lauded' recent 4 game / 1 Passing TD per game pace.

Attach these pitiful numbers to any other QB in the league and this board would be unified in its ridicule of the sub-J.A.G. production and mocking next year's QB draft with BaconGrundleCandy

But.......Corky is 'our' J.A.G.....so.......carry on!

Calling him "Corky" and "jag" = "ugh."

Not just that, but Mac is simply a better QB at this point in the season than Josh Allen.

Over his last 4 games, he has had a QB rating of, 79.9, 89.2, 104.6, 119.8.

Josh Allen's QB rating over the last 4 games: 46.8, 78.6, 100.4, 80.8.

They've had two common opponents, but Mac has faced tougher defenses overall while playing hurt.

Not that this should be surprising. Josh Allen is an overrated QB.

Everyone can see it too.

It's that time of the year again. It's time for the Patriots to smack around their sons from Buffalo, as has been tradition around here for the last two decades, and as the GOAT has been doing since Super Bowl 25.

We held an elite offense to just 26 points on the road last week, despite the defense taking a well deserved night off to ensure they are fresh for the postseason. The same offense that dropped 33 points on a good Bills defense in Buffalo.

MJ is getting healthy and heating up at the right time, which is horrendous news for the rest of the league. The sky is the limit for this team with the elite QB play Mac has been giving us the last few weeks as he continues to get healthier.

We're going to slap these fools up and down the field on Thursday night. It's time to put them in a choke hold and tap them b*tches out.

Interesting. You would have thought that 10 year olds in the 1950s would be more fit, given that the lack of TVs and computers would force them to be more active outside. That doesn't appear to be the case here.

Luckily, you got your sh!t together later on in life and became a gym rat to shed that thick, oily, layer of fat.

I mean, how injured is “injured.” Allen hasn’t missed a game so I question all of the above… Every team is dealing with nagging issues. The Pats could probably say the same thing or worse. How many of these guys are actually at risk of being out?

Here is the rundown.

- Josh Allen (staring QB) was thought to possibly need Tommy John surgery but ended up being able to play through it. The downside is that it's affecting his some of his passes - Romo mentioned it during the game on Thanksgiving. Allen has had to adjust his throws to compensate for the UCL tear and its causing some of his passes to be a bit erratic.

- Von Miller (starting DE) has damage to his MCL and is out for this week and perhaps the rest of the season.

- Dion Dawkins (starting LT) left the game with an ankle injury and didn't return.

- Mitch Morse (starting C) missed last game with an elbow injury that has been bothering him since October.

- Greg Rousseau (starting DE) has what is believed to be a high-ankle sprain and has been out for the last 3 weeks.

- Kaiir Elam (starting CB) also injured his ankle. He came back last week but only played 13 coverage snaps. I think he's probably still hurt.

- Tremaine Edmunds (starting MLB) has missed the last 2 games with multiple injuries (groin and oblique).

- AJ Epenesa (Rousseau's backup) is also hurt and has missed the last 2 games.

- Micah Hyde (starting S) is on IR.

- Jamison Crowder (WR3) is on IR.

- Jake Kumerow (WR4) is on IR.

- Christian Benford (CB3) is on IR.

I think saying Jones is a better QB is a huge stretch, but the last month is the reason why I don't consider Allen elite. He is capable of playing like an elite QB for stretches, but the guy every year goes through stretches where he is average at best and awful at times.

I'm just now realizing that Patriot fans don't realize that Allen is playing hurt...

Wowza.

Doctors thought Allen was going to need Tommy John surgery and be out for the year. He tore part of his UCL in his throwing elbow.

He is having to adjust his throws to make up for the lack of support in his elbow and has been playing with a brace on the elbow for almost a month now.

You never saw this lack of consistency for Mahomes, Brady, Manning, Brees, or any other QB you would put in the elite ranks.

Uh, what???

Mahomes literally had a 7 game stretch last season where he went:

0 TD, 1 INT
0 TD, 1 INT
1 TD, 0 INT,
1 TD, 1 INT
0 TD, 1 INT
2 TD, 2 INT
2 TD, 2 INT

That's 6 TD, and 8 INT over a 7 game stretch.

It's like people have zero memory.

That sounds like the fakest injury I've ever heard. If you're going to make something up and just conjure up something out of thin air, you're going to have to try harder. An imaginary injury that requires an imaginary type of surgery with two first names isn't going to fly around here.

What was Allen's excuse last year when he played like crap for stretches? Or the year before? If this year was an outlier, then I would discount the injury.

Again, when Allen is on, he is elite. The problem is every year he goes through stretches where he is average or worse.

And one bad stretch by Mahomes isn't something that happens every year like Allen.

This is patsfans.com where posters took to criticizing the Patriots' own QB not just for being injured but for how he even reacted to getting injured.

People on this board have been killing Jones for staying in the pocket and taking sacks after coming back from a high ankle sprain.

Well if Mac moves a little better in the pocket not all of them have to be sacks that said last game was his best so far. Pats are in the toughest part of their schedule those desert Teams are not going to be easy.

Yeah, would like to see a cb trio of Jack, Jonathan and Mills. Don't want to see Bryant out there against this team. It seems like Allen's eyes light up when he's on the field. I like that trio and think we'll be a lot better.

I'd like to see Marcus out there too, but I wonder now if he's become too valuable as a returner to risk having him play a great deal of snaps in the secondary... Maybe start first with a 50/50 split with Space and take it from there...

I also think it's well past time now to reduce McCourty's snaps somehow... It's becoming clear as crystal that he's not arriving before or at the catch point nearly as often as he used to do... Maybe a down or two off every series or so will help re-charge his batteries momentarily... Either way, we need an Upgrayedd at FS beginning next season.

He's definitely no Ed Reed.

Breking down Jonathan Jones int- he's going to get paid this offseason. The big difference on this play was the interior pressure by Eukale. He has flashed at times this year, especially with Barmore out.

Doesn't look to me that Ukulele the Cheater forced Cousins into anything that he wouldn't have done anyway.
