NFL Trade Deadline Rumors, including Bourne and Agholar

Or baked... Trust me... You end-up with a shopping bag of cookies and no produce, and don't remember even buying the cookies......
Carlin "I’ve found the best way to shop at the supermarket is not to have eaten for a while. Couple of days. Work up a good ol’ appetite. And then smoke eight joints, take five hundred dollars, and go to the supermarket! You’ll buy everything, man. ‘Canned cans! Just what I need! [plunk!]’ And the good things—the things you really like—you buy two of them, ’cause you know you’re gonna eat one of them as soon as you get home, man! And you keep going, and after a few aisles, you know, you’ve been overdoing it! You’ve got a motorcade of carts. Road guards, reflector rain coats, everything, man. Did y’ever notice that when you’ve spent too much money in the supermarket, you have to return some of the expensive items; and in the supermarket you put things back…anywhere! ‘That don’t matter. Put the ham in with the coconuts. The Brillo in with the bacon bits. They don’t care. They’ve got guys who straighten that stuff out, Marge. Guys with purple fingers, come around at midnight, and in the morning, everything is back. The mystery of the supermarket."

I remember that bit... My brother & I used to rent his albums from the library just two blocks away, when we were pre-teens during the early 1970s and had just purchased our own turntable, probably from the Radio Shack at the South Shore Plaza... Also rented Redd Foxx & Bill Cosby albums from the library during those years... Regarding my grocery-shopping future, old George was proven prophetic...

Bill not buying at Whole Foods and they ran out of stuff at Trader Joe’s.

So the Dolphins gave up a first round pick to pay a worse player $10M per year more than what Judon is getting.

Chubb hasn't been the same player since his rookie year...his sack numbers have been way down. It'll be interesting to see if he can have a resurgence in Miami

Judon's next deal is going to be crazy!

classic lolphins

Dang it’s not terrible when you think we are paying Nelson half of that to ride the. Bench.

Von Miller (Chubb only played the 1st 4 games in '19 and '20 Miller was out all year, then got traded halfway thru '21 to the Rams, so they had 1 full season together which was '18 Chubb's rookie year) and Shaq Barrett (left after '18 and then went and had 19 sacks with the Bucs in '19) left. That's pretty much it. Helps when you got those 2 guys eating up blockers and freeing you up. But to be fair he has been pretty good this year but Broncos got a very good secondary and Randy Gregory was on the other side. dolphins secondary hasn't been good, think they are bottom 5 in pass defense and Elandon Roberts is 1 sack off being tied for their leader in sackers at 3. So really Chubb seems like a guy that is a very good when you surround him with a better pass rusher and a good secondary. dolphins not sure they have that in place, look what the lions just did, Jared Goff shredded them and had a clean pocket pretty much all day. Was really a contrast to what I saw when lions played in foxboro. felt like it was either judon or someone in the backfield almost every other pass play.

He's all been injured a good amount. His injury trajectory isn't really good either.
16 games
4 games
14 games
7 games
8 games (this season)
Plays a a full or close to full season and then misses more than half the next season. So lolphins will get him for the rest of the season but next year they better prepared for him to miss 10+ games

I will say I would have liked Chubb (not at that price though) because I think Belichick is probably someone (and I think Judon & Chubb would be a good balance Edge duo) that can get the most out of him. Look at Judon left Baltimore and had a career high in sacks his 1st season in NE and tied for most sacks in a season by a Patriots player under Belichick and barring anything bad he's on pace to break it this year. He's at 8.5, so need 4.5 to set it.

Chubb has been having a really good year this year, but he has been a disappointment since his rookie year up until this year. That is a lot to give up to a guy who has mostly underachieved during his career.

Again, from what I saw on Broncos message boards, Broncos fans weren't upset to see him go.

Good luck Mac Jones: Chubb is only 26 you need Pass rushers in this game.

The Broncos won't be very good Team for a while.

He'll be 32 by then I bet it wont be from us if BB is still around.
That’s got Rams all over it.
If I’m BB I trade Judon during the next draft.
I’m all about selling at their highest point.

You know, it'd be funny as heck if the Dolphins struggle to ink a long term deal with Chubb because another team tampers with him.
Just signed to a 5 year deal.

It seems like when our rivals make a good move it's a bad move by some Pats fans perspective. Because BB by not making any moves is the smartest. Newsflash there is a huge Talent disparity between the Pats - Bills and Dolphins. And we have the struggling Mac Jones imagine if Jones was on the Jets or Phins we'll be saying he sucks.

Yup, pats fans still insist Tua sucks and Mac is better than him (despite never being able to beat him). Tua is having a career year (#1 in a bunch of categories), while Mac is #1 in INT%.

We lost quit a few games against them in the last seasons
Remember when they ran for more than 200 yards despite having oneo f the worst o-lines in the league last year
