If a player hits Brady late, and dirty...

buhdakan, I will be honest. I am going to miss you after today.

I've got news for you...

We're going to HIT Brady EARLY.. We're going to Hit Brady DURING the play.

We're going to Hit Brady AFTER THE PLAY. We're going to HIT BRADY on his way to the Locker room.

We're going to hit brady on the WAY OUT OF THE LOCKER ROOM.

What is this we stuff big boy? Got a frog in your pocket? I am a PAT's fan first and foremost, but the Eagles are my second favorite (my faimily lives in Norristown) They have more class (and more sense) than you are giving them credit for.

Back to the original topic............

It fun for a-hole trolls like bud-boy and mediots to pontificate about late hitting and deliberately taking out Brady, it another to think that a player would actually seriously consider it.

These are PROFESSIONALS, whose livelihood's depend on their ability to be able to PLAY. They don't look to intentionally injure others except in the rarest of instances, and they pay dearly when they do (Hainesworth last year). He could get hurt cuz it's a rough game, but every player facing him know that if they were to deliberately take out one of the games premier products (Brady), it would have a significantly detrimental effect on that players career (suspended for the year, huge fine, etc....)

Player don't give a fluk about what fans think about, and they have their own fraternity, as do coaches. Keep thinking about it if you want, it's just not very realistic.

If a player hits Brady late, and dirty?

He won't walk off the field...

If you want to know how to defeat the Patriots... All you need to do is get out a Little tape... Example One... Penn State vs Miami in the 1986 Orange Bowl...

THE WAY TO BEAT A PASS HAPPY OFFENSE with a team that Everybody says "Can't win" is not so much to take cheap shots at the QB.. It's to put the Fear of GOD into the Receivers.. Pretty soon their heads get on that swivel.

....

We played them just about every year... How could that BE? Simple GENIUS b/c somewhere in the first quarter in EVERY Game somebody puts a helmet in Moss chest and he tends to simmer down just a bit after that...

LOL you think Moss doesn't fear the Eagles... do ya really? ROFL.

Example one should be the Patriots in the 2001 Super Bowl. The Patriots annihilated the Rams receivers; Law broke Bruce's ribs during the game. That's one of the reasons why the Patriots won.

Unfortunately, the Eagles have a banged up secondary and won't be able to catch Moss, let alone hit him.

I had no idea the Eagles were that good, LMAO!
Will we see you after the game?

My question is if the Comish is all about player safety and they are going to eject guys for blatant spearing then why don't they come out and state that any player who blatantly attempts to injure another player, ie like when Mcmann was purposely injured while playing for the Bears, That player who performs this act will permanently be banned from the NFL....then there would not even be any talk of hitting a player on purpose late to injure them.if this statement was made by the Commissioner it would end all this silliness now.

As far as who we have to be concerned with .....its Pitt they took Brady out of the Championship Game in 02 on purpose and then Palmer on purpose during a playoff game what 3yrs ago and of course Rodney during a regular season game also i think 3yrs ago...they have a history and a pattern of such acts and it is part of their normal tactics and i believe with the Chin's approval, if anyone goes at Brady it will be the Thugs in Pitt.

I agree that other players don't want to end Brady's career, or seriously try to hurt the guy, but the fact that no one has really taken a shot at Brady is shocking to me. You think that players and coaches like getting embarrassed? You think they like seeing Brady passing on 4th down in the 4th Quarter with a 30 point lead? Players take that very personal, and usually someone tries to "send a message".

Yes, the guy would get fined, and probably a one game suspension (if that), but you're dreaming if you think the league is all of a sudden going to come down on a guy hard just because he takes a shot at Brady. You might also be surprised at how many players, coaches, league officials, fans, etc, would feel like Brady and the Pats are getting what they deserved if Brady gets a season ending injury.

You certainly wouldn't hear the outrage that everyone on here would expect.

No............. you don't like getting embarassed....... don't put the players in your world. The players know 1) they are outclassed by a much superior team, and more importantly, 2) Brady is not the one calling the plays. He's a field general doing BB bidding. Most players understand BB is calling the shots. That's why you find so few people taking "verbal" shots at any of the Patriot players. They are just playing an executing the plays sent into them. Most players, whether they like or hate the players are in AWE of how high a level the players are executing on. Almost all Player interviews I've heard bares that out.

As for you're last statement......... I call BS. show me your source that "many players, coaches, league officials, fans, etc, would feel like Brady and the Pats are getting what they deserved if Brady gets a season ending injury."

****ing FAN rubbish. Like I said.

The Eagles are a Good Football team.. not a great football team.

I stopped reading here....... The Eagles are not a very good football team. I'll give you the "Any given Sunday" chance at winning today, but you're a .500 team in the NFC. You're not that good. Sorry to inform you of that.

Actually, I could care less. The Pats can't run it up on the Colts anyway, and I certainly hope Brady and the Pats are at full strength if we play them again, so you won't have any excuses when the Pats get their ***** kicked.

I can tell you that I played high school BB and College FB, and it was common for players to take cheap shots at other players if they thought the other team/players/coaches were trying to embarrass them. You would crush the guy going for a layup/dunk, and try to knock him into the 5th row. Or in football we would call a blind side safety blitz, and have the guy put his shoulder right into the QB's back at full speed regardless of whether he had released the ball or not. They always got the message.

BB may be the leader, and "calling the shots", but Brady is the face of the franchise and the one the Pats can't do without, so that's the guy you go after if you're trying to "send a message".

Like I said ------> HS and College are NOT the pro's. I hear what you are saying, and sure, they might be putting a little extra "ummph" on a hit, but what we are talking about deliberate CHEAP shots with the intent to injure. It's just not gonna happen. It has happened in the past, but it's a very rare thing.

I think that we (fans and media idiots) are making to much of this. On the pro level, it's not that much of a concern. At least in football.

Well masked profanity.. now there's a bannable offense.

LOL If you think ANYBODY on the Eagles Sideline is In "awe" of the Patriots.
You're smoking some pretty good stuff. Jon Runyan, The Big Kid, Herremans, Jackson and Thomas aren't too happy about how everybody across the country has basically Handed you all the praise. These boys hit and they hit hard.

The Eagles Defense.. Oh yeah I know they're NOT As good as the COLTS?

THE COLTS? This Eagles D started with a YOUNG BUNCH... They are coming together. They pitched a shutout against the awful Dolphins. They had big goal line stands against the Skins.

If you think you're playing the Buffalo Bills this week, you're in for a big surprise.

Do you forget that your Offense looked pitiful in the SuperBowl until you were able to go in at half time and talk to your "Spies"...

LOL who you kidding? We know what you are.

Yeah right we shouldn't have got on the Plane.

CONSIDERING WHAT YOU DID.. If you value your LIFE, If you are a Patriots player and YOU BIG TIMED THE EAGLES all week in the Media, you wouldn't step out on the FIELD.

Do So at your Own risk..> Welcome to the Body Bag Game III.

Yaaaaaaawn.............. On a positive note, at least, you'll be gone tomorrow.

What does it matter if you know how to shut down Moss (and you probably don't) we have Wes Welker and Donte Stallworth (you may remember him, your best WR last year, our third best receiver this year). As far as Westbrook having an Addai like game....last time i checked we beat the Colts, even with Addai playing the way he was, and that was the COLTS, this is the EAGLES. When McNabb was sacked 12 times against the Giants, how can you say that was "McNabb and not the Eagles"? I am pretty sure its the OL's job to stop the pass rushers. The Eagles number 1 option WR is their Runningback, which proves their lack of talent at WR, do you think Feeley can do anything with this WR corp, against Samuel and Harrison? Our secondary is not the joke you make it out to be either. Would love to see you back here tomorrow, after we pound you, but your likely go into hiding, like almost every other troll who said the Pats would lose. OK "Tough Guy" "You bring it we will be ready"....calm down Rocky, your team is about as talented as Sylvester Stallones acting is.

I just made the mistake of reading parts of this thread, and I am torn between laughing my ass off and being concerned for the sanity of our resident Eagles fan.

I live in the Philly area and NOBODY here thinks the Eagles are a good football team this year.

Most are hoping to escape from the Pats game with a respectable showing where they don't get 60 points hung on them.

Now, back to the topic at hand:

The thing that concerns me is the officials have generally allowed defenders to tee off on Brady with late hits. Flags get thrown, but rarely. One of the worst spears I've ever seen went uncalled on Brady last year.

I think Randy Moss would snap and Kill the guy.

First of all Randy Moss wouldn't kill anyone. He doesn't even like running in the middle. If a player is going to be hit to be taken out it's not going to be Brady. It's too obvious. I could see any of the receivers though. A guy not letting up at all when the receiver is exposed.

roy williams was trying his best to take out both brady and moss....neither happened...they both really got the better fortune that time...hopefully that keeps up...

btw, how many times u need to SEE moss go down the middle to stop believing wut u READ from others?

It's not what I read it's what I saw in the Colts game. Alligator arms.

Ya that one handed catch was serious alligator arms.

I didn't say he didn't catch any. I did see some he didn't TRY to catch. Look, this is a statement of fact. Most wideouts don't like going over the middle. Moss isn't any different. It wasn't a singular swipe at him so get over it.

you don't have a damn clue as to what you are talking about.

Give a specific example with a time in the game that this happened.

You call him alligator arms trying to elicit a response. You got one. Mine was quite benign compared to what you'll normally get when trolling. Then you pull a tude and tell me to get over it.

It certainly was a singular swipe at him. Moss had two juggles and one drop going over the middle. He also made several nice catches including the one hander. So if you want to be critical tell the entire story or grow thicker skin when you get challenged.
