This Patriots team can not afford BB holding grudges against one of their quality players for petty infractions. They do not have the talent to do this and get away with it. Bourne came here as a free agent and seems to be a decent guy last year and in early preseason.
And this is with your Speedy Rookie injured he ain't coming through that door until probably week 6. So let's keep giving Bourne two snaps until then I can see the logic.

The rumor I've heard is that this all started with Bourne because he doesn't like the coaching staff, Bill trading for Parker and drafting Thornton in the 2nd round and Bill pushing to get his ROI with Agholor and Smith.

Then maybe your boy Mac can beat Trubisky.

Because Mac cant beat Tua who stinks.
From what I remember, Brady was 8-10 against the Dolphins in Miami. So it's not like we were owning the Dolphins every year in their stadium in years prior.

I would be surprised if the Steelers beat the Pats. They lost Nagee Harris and they have nothing else on offense really. This should be a win, then you can chill out your pessimism for a week

The defense wasn’t excellent. The two playmakers on Miami’s made plays, the rest of that team is trash. The defense looked competent and the offense looked incomplete.

They should be able to handle horrible offenses like theirs on defense with no problem, but they’ll get handled pretty easily by top ten offenses.
From my perspective, the only really egregious screwups by the defense were the off-sides call Davis on 4th and 1 at the 50 that led to a field goal, and the blown coverage/missed tackle by two safeties on Jalen Waddle on the 42-yard TD. Other than that I don't have a lowlight reel to show the D.

Did you expect Trent Brown to be whistling Zippitty-doo-da as he lets his QB get drilled? I was shocked how poorly Brown played.
Looking at the film, the pass blocking was not ready for prime time. The guards were as responsible for guys to Mac Jones as the tackles. the gap blocking was not acceptable. Uh, I didn't know Trent Brown could whistle, but, uh, good for him.

I have to admit the Pats fans played like crap yesterday. That is hard hitting analysis right there. How did the Dolphins' mascot do? He was the real star of the game.

You criticize my analysis and the bring what Pats' fans at the game were feeling to support your point? Really?!?

BTW, I remember being at a game a number years ago where most of the fans left the game when the Pats got down by a lot and the Pats ended winning the game with like 15,000-20,000 left in the stadium. I cannot remember the details of the game, but remember the fans.

And all you have to do is look at any game day thread after the Pats get down, even during the Brady era, half the fans talk about how the game is over and the team sucks even if they are only down by seven points in the first quarter.

So fans are not a good indicator of what the Pats' chances are. Especially this year with so many people already thinking this team is going to stink.

And the TOP has a lot to do with Miami having an extra possession than the Pats with them running out the clock on the last drive. And even the second to last drive by the Dolphins ate up a lot of time even though they called passing plays 4 of the 6 plays of the drive.
I wasn't doing any analysis since neither are you. You're just making stuff up to make yourself feel better about a terrible performance.

Just pointing out to a delusional Pats fan that most of the Pats fans that were actually at the game didn't view the performance the way you do.

BTW, Miami had one less possession, so you're wrong about that also.

The fact is that despite Bill bringing to team down to Palm Beach to practice 5 days before the game, it was McDaniel that had his team better prepared and ready to perform. It was embarrassing.

Should have known you didn't do any analysis. You haven't in all the time I have known you. Why start now.

But what did the Pats' fan in section 345 think yesterday. That is really what I want to know with your in depth reporting of the Pats fans in the stadium yesterday.

His arm made me nervous yesterday. No zip whatsoever and those lollipop lobs didn't look good.
Do you think he had no zip on the throw to Bourne?

Good news (maybe):

Did strange go back in or was it ferentz at lg for the rest of the game when strange was benched?

I think it's funny that they're acting like it was such a gutsy call. I wouldn't call it gutsy, I'd just call it smart. He saw Phillips go out with an injury, realized the immediate solution had them out of position (Bentley was back in coverage as well on that play [not good], with Mills in a bad match-up and Dugger playing deep - and Dugger ended up taking a bad angle on the play after Mills got beat) and took advantage.

Had the injury to Phillips not happened, he probably would have handled it differently. But it was just smart. He smelled blood and knew they'd convert, although I doubt he expected the touchdown.

Am I the only one who never questions BB when it comes to player discipline?

I even agree with those who say Belichick benching Butler cost us the Super Bowl.

But, how many does this team win from the attention to detail / responsibilities / discipline? This team is almost always on point. That has contributed to accountability, leadership, consistency, which equals wins. So you trade the 2017 SB. I realize you can't really account for any of this, but why are people so sure BB's style is a negative?

Remember what happened when BB lost the 2009 team? How many players were late to practice that year? "I can't get through to them no matter what I try."

That year sucked.

Phil Perry watched Bourne all game and said he’s clearly upset with what’s going on. After the 41 yarder, he came out for a play. Then Bourne started to run back on the field the next play, but Troy Brown waived him off with Bourne looking upset. Then Bourne sees Agholor fumble and starts walking the sidelines talking with his finger in the air where he saw Jonnu Smith trying to calm him down.
K Bourne is not as good as the people who can get away with that kind of stuff.

Is it a coincidence that a former DC that benched a starting CB during a SB, is now an OC and is doing the same w/ one of the best WRs on the team? There's a reason why players hated him in DET. Stafford alluded to not wanting to play for him. Now, we've heard of issues or lack of motivation by our 2 starting tackles (his OL) & a good WR (his O). Sorry but this dude is a problem.

Played the entire second half I believe (he finished playing 86% of the snaps).

Thanks Ian! That is encouraging he got back in

Something else to take into account as well: Waddle is a bullet. Sometimes you can't stop a guy like that all game.

Yes, they blew it on that play, but I thought they contained the 2 WRs pretty well.

Other teams however are going to dare Tua to go downfield to those 2. They are going to blitz and take away the short stuff, especially the screens and such to Tyreek. Teams will bet that Tua doesnt have the accuracy to go downfield.
