We should start an annual tradition to fill the gap between the last preseason game and week 1: Voting for Patsfans.com captains. Everyone picks five, and the five with the most votes get a special flair to lord over everyone for the season.
I like it. The Buccaneers fans can vote for their guys as well

No real surprises here:

Really you thought Wise and Bentley would be defensive captains?

I would of thought Judon and Guy or Godchaux over Wise and Bentley.

Judon & especially Guy are also known for their leadership qualities, or so I've heard...
Now reading through the responses. I feel the need to one agree with you and two selfishly point out my post above was about who I seen as leaders from my TV and computer screen. Not from a contractual or performance based point of view.

But saying Bentley and Wise are not surprising....I don't know, maybe I'm losing it or Ashley has some inside sources....just sayin'!

He was. Based on him losing it to Hightower last year, I think it was kind of a "next man up" thing, which is now back in effect.

Yeah, in 2020 in kind of felt like an Interim Captain kind of situation. He was the senior most ILB on the team and was wearing the green dot so it made sense. Hightower took that role back in 2021, and now it's Bentley's for real.

No real surprises here:

Somehow, I don't think that folks on this board would pick Bentley and Wise as the leaders of the defensive front. Clearly, the players think differently. Also, the management thinks differently (recall how much they are paying Wise).

Obviously.

HT didn’t play in 2020 because of COVID.
