Airfare, hotel, transportation is booked and purchased club seats from the NFL Exchange. Any advice in general related to the stadium experience?
Week 17 last season, I parked at the Calder Casino parking lot, considered part of the Dolphins game day lots, NE of the stadium.
No parking fee and no pass required..... and buses galore (free) that brought us right to the Northeast gate seamlessly.....and post-game, buses galore waiting at the same gate that move as soon they fill up.
Walking time: lot to stadium....10-15 mins
Bus time....5 mins
In the midday heat, an air-conditioned ride is not a bad way to go
Note: No idea if same rules apply this season
If you are looking to escape quickly post-game and get to the turnpike via a back door road the rest of the stadium doesn't have access too, this is the lot for you.
There were tailgaters but not many
If you haven't been to that stadium in years, its crazy what they've done to the once expansive lots that surround the stadium.
Now.....A huge football practice facility in the middle of the north lot, a sprawling tennis center (Miami Open) on the west side of the stadium, Formula 1 structures all over, and a freaking chairlift whose purpose I could not imagine, have limited the parking availability for non-parking pass holders and forced many much farther from the stadium.
If you are thinking of buying a parking pass, their system did not allow game day purchases and I doubt any were left.
