Patriots Player Departure Dalton Keene Waived

I could see Keene latching on with someone's PS if he gets healthy (or at least healthy for a long enough burst that someone wants to give him a flyer). But I doubt he gets signed anywhere before the final cutdowns. Teams are going to be cutting a lot of "Dalton Keenes" in the next week or so. They won't have a great rush to sign another one just yet.

I could see him latching onto our practice squad. I doubt there will be much excitement around the league about him, but if he ever gets healthy and can stay healthy who knows.

disagree. time for him to find greener pastures... maybe Chicago could sign him... he could hang out with Harry in the Bears ICU ward... be like old times for them...

Most of the time I'm pretty sanguine about this stuff. I'm a bit of a homer. But this trade up and pick was just bad all around. Disliked it at the time, and dislike it more now. Ah well. Henry, Smith, and Asiasi should still be a solid 1-2-3. Still, poor use of resources.

Dang, that’s harsh. He was healthy enough to dress and wasn’t waived with a failed physical, but they didn’t let him play. The only reason I can think of is that they were worried he’d get hurt again.
