Ok, this is now supernatural with the Jets. They need to go seek the oracle of Kattegat and find out what is the root cause of such things.

At least this was just bad luck**, as opposed to some of their past preseason disasters. Like 2013, when Rex Ryan left Mark Sanchez in late in the fourth preseason game and Sanchez suffered a season-ending injury.

Or 2015, when Geno Smith got his clock cleaned by a teammate.

**Bad luck, but still evidence of why "off-schedule plays" are a double-edged sword.

I meant that in the sense of "clearly there must be a reason he didn't prioritize Araiza."
