As much as I make fun of Matt Damon being involved with Coinbase ("Bourne Yesterday") at least it's public and based in the USA, even if that doesn't mean regulated right now.

But Brady is involved with FTX, which isn't even approved for the US, is backed by very sketchy people, and it just ran the back end of a massive ponzi that went belly up this morning as an exchange just transferred a huge amount of customer assets to FTX. The schemers are all in it together.

And Brady is the face of this scam.

He still has the laser eyes in his twitter profile.

It's beyond embarrassing for him. What's next?

As much as I used to make fun of "Cut That Meat" Manning, Brady's advertising forays have become a complete disaster.

You've got to wonder, WHY is Brady putting so much energy into moneymaking projects like a clothing line, endorsement deals of all kinds plus his pending second career in broadcasting? Not to mention his ongoing TB12 stuff. PLUS his player salary PLUS Gisele's fortune. It makes no sense.

Maybe wants to buy a team only explanation I can think of...or he loves the attention. He is a lunatic after all for good(on the field) and looking like off as well lol

Hope he didn't dump a bunch into FTX.

This is going to be a bloodbath.

Im not even someone that tells people not to put their money into crypto. Seems Bitcoin may actually have some sustainability. Who knows.

But there's a lot of dumb stuff in the crypto space and Brady seems to be involved with one of them.

You gonna make a thread on Spike Lee, Larry David, Lebron, and bunch of active NFL players like OBJ who are sponsored by crypto and do NFT stuff all the time on social media and TV commercials? Seriously gonna say this is a Brady thing?

And why is he doing it? Because they’re paying him Cash Money.

Crypto is the dumbest thing and I hope literally everyone who put money into it loses it all including Brady but this thread is somehow dumber.

Don't you believe Brady EVER does ANYTHING questionable? And FYI, four years ago I bought a small portion of Bitcoin whose value quadrupled.

Crypto is not "the dumbest thing." The problem is that it got turned into an investment vehicle by the wealthy, and then popular icons like Brady brought that to the masses.

Crypto has become an essential economic tool for millions of people, soon to be hundreds of millions if not billions, who are largely unbankable and can't depend on hard currency because of inflation and crime. That's the mission of crypto - to create a form of transaction that transcends the structural limitations of national currencies.

The fact that most people in the US think it was created to be an investment vehicle is just a symptom of how out of touch we are with most of the world.

Yeah thats true, people with a lot of money dont like making more money, how odd.

Let's say you have $700 million in the bank, free and clear -- how would you spend your time? Would you put effort into selling underwear and supplements online? Do commercials for fast food? Life is short and amassing wealth on top of wealth isn't much of an end game if you ask me. I'd put my energy into charity work, making a difference for others, doing something creative and my own personal growth, but maybe that would seem odd to folks like yourself.

No he doesn't. He wanted Ian to rename the forum to "bradyfans.com".
At this point you're more Brady fan than all of us bro

Why TF do you care how Brady spends his time? Life isn't short for him. He's got a long way to go. Maybe he wants to be the 1st NFL billionaire. That's a goal. So what if it doesn't match your corny ass goals. You're the most judgemental poster on the forum. Live and let live bro.

I really don't, I just find his choices peculiar. He obviously is doing what he wants.

Life isn't short for him. He's got a long way to go.

He's in his mid-forties. Life in general is short, you'll find that out.

Maybe he wants to be the 1st NFL billionaire. That's a goal.

Meh. OK. By the way, isn't Gisele a significant contributor to that $1 billion "goal"?

So what if it doesn't match your corny ass goals.

Altruism, charity, personal growth are "corny ass." You sound like a teenager.

You're the most judgemental poster on the forum.

You're projecting.

Live and let live bro.

Remember, I didn't suggest Brady "should" change his ways. I just mistakenly thought he had more depth than what he is demonstrating. But, like you say, what I think doesn't matter.

You really think Brady doesn't contribute to charity? Maybe he doesn't publicize it enough for you. Or maybe you don't think he contributes enough?

You really think Brady doesn't contribute to charity?

I never suggested that.

Maybe he doesn't publicize it enough for you. Or maybe you don't think he contributes enough?

I know he does the occasional charity gig. Whether it's "enough," only he can judge.

Here's for all you Brady hating Pats fans

Interesting interview with the 2nd most clutch quarterback of all time...

You are being ultra-sensitive and ultra-defensive. Nobody I know of on this board "hates" Tom Brady. I always have liked the guy and always loved him as a player -- he remains the GOAT and ultimate NFL competitor. But only a willingly blind Brady honk can deny that his ubiquitous off-field "enterprising" the last couple years has gotten obnoxious.

There's maybe like 3 or 4 fellow board members out there that do and you cannot deny that lol And I wouldn't say obnoxious even when he was with the Pats he was doing a lot of things just not as transparent as now. He's always been corny/weird at least to me off the field haha

this is like 99% wrong here but you already convinced yourself otherwise

there's nothing sketchy about FTX and they actually legally run FTX.US in the US

Sam (the founder) of FTX may be a mercenary but his intentions are pretty clear and he has actually helped many very publicly. SORRY that you likely lost money in crypto but thats probably because you bought at the top like a sheep

Also, no intelligent person in the world thinks Brady is the face of FTX

edit: in regards to Celcius, FTX offered them liquidity and thats it and isnt interested in the book. FTX actually is investing/buying Voyager Digital at distressed rates and have extneded loans
