Brady milestone and record watch 2022

Consider these nuggets from last season, via ESPN Stats & Information:
  • 41% of Jones' pass attempts thrown at least 20 yards downfield were over- or underthrown last season, an off-target mark that ranked 21st in the NFL (league average 36%).
  • Jones ranked 24th with a 38.8% completion rate on vertical routes last season according to NFL Next Gen Stats. His completion percentage above expectation on those throws was -4.5% (26th out of 31 qualified QBs).
  • Jones had his most completions 20-plus yards downfield to receiver Jakobi Meyers (7-of-16), but struggled to connect with Agholor (4-of-17, 0 TD, 2 INT).
  • Patriots receivers ranked 25th with only 1.6 yards of separation on deep balls per NFL Next Gen Stats.

Because he's mainly dink and dunk? He's friggin' 145th all time in yards/completion and 33rd in yards/attempt.
I see the Brady troll is still trying to act like he is a pats fan. Its funny that you say Brady dinks and dunks with your worship of mac.
Funny story though. Here are some notable dink and dunkers and where they rank....
Bret Favre 160th
Jay Cutler 154th
Steve Mcnair 154th
Peyton Manning 137th
Aaron Rodgers 120th

Hmm..lot of guys known for not throwing deep there, oh wait, yes they are...lets see that top 10 in this category
1. Ed Brown 1954
2. Sid Luckman 1939
3. Otto Graham 1946
4. Cotton Davidson 1954
5. Norm Van Brocklin 1949
6. Earl Morrall 1956
7. Eddie LeBaron 1963
8. Dayle Lamonica 1963
9. Jack kemp 1957
10. Frank Ryan 1958

So lets see...the top 10 consists of guys that played in the 50's....maybe....Brady is not a dink and dunker as you say, maybe, how the game is played has changed...When you are trying to troll Brady can you like do some research and not just jump out with something? Oh also, do you know how many Qb's are in the top 80 of this list that started after 2000? 1....Its Jamis Winston, you know, the guy that ran out of town so they could win a superbowl with Brady because he was throwing 30 picks? Yeah that guy. Oh also by the way, your Hero Mac Jones, his YPC if he had enough to qualify would rank him at 197th, right between Gabbert and David Carr.

I saw the same thing but didn't want to dignify his troll post with a response. They had to use different criteria (lower passing attempts per game, less min # passes) for the old timers. The stat is meaningless.

He showed you a grade on deep passes dummy. Where did Mac place?

I never said Mac was a great deep passer. But it's good to know that you are excited that Mac was 197th on the list.

You can be a great deep passer...by the way Brady is, and not be high on that list you showed, as I pointed out to you. Brady was 3rd at 44 years old in deep passing grade last year, that means, he is good at deep passing, even if you do not want to believe it.

Well as trolls do, they grasp on to somethig with zero context and run with it, so I like to knock it down when I get a chance.

LOL, stupid, you're insulting "your own team"...
You are insulting your teams legendary QB that won your team a lot of games and superbowls. Weird huh? Its almost like you became a pats fan after Brady left.

Yeah, the same guy who quit on his team and tried remove the HC...

My loyalty is to the team, not to any one individual. As a Timmyite, you wouldn't understand that...

Manning's season yardage record: 5,477.
Brady last year: 5,316. That includes 5 games where he threw for less than 250 yards.
To beat the record Tom needs to average 323 passing yards a game for all 17. He beat this mark 8 times last season. Beat it by over 50 yards 5 times. I think he's got a really good shot at this one assuming no injuries.

Manning's season TD record: 55
Brady last year: 44. Had a couple of 0 TD games and 3 1-TD games or he would have been quite a bit closer.
To beat that record he needs to average 3.3 TD a game. He beat that mark 6 times last season. Had two 5-TD games.
More difficult than the other one because they do run the ball but with the extra game still doable I think.

I'll be tracking these as the season progresses.

Interesting thread on dispelling the notion that Brady was carried by good defenses.

Most sacked QB in NFL history LMAO…apparently he doesn’t get rid of the ball quickly enough
Umm, incorrect.

Factually incorrect.

And Brady has been noted for probably being the best QB ever at making his OL better than they really were.
