NFL Free Agency 2022 edition

We going to be like 10 games behind the Bills at the end. Didn't know we have a Slot WR on our roster already. I really liked Crowder for us but our WR evaluations again it's off the charts I tell you.

And in New England:

We lost Mason and Jackson, and the guys arriving are no replacement. The rest of the guys lost or unsigned free agents are immaterial. Like signing Bates, not a big deal, like losing Karras - Meh. It would be nice to sign a few guys like Flowers, Hicks, and Richardson?, Nassib?, Clowney?. There are still a lot of above average players available.

I'm not sure how PFF calculates their numbers. I know Judon wasn't as good to end the season, but the idea that Guy, Godchaux, Mills and Bentley had better seasons than Judon is ridiculous.

I agree. But Mills was a lot better than I expected. Dude broke down a few times, but overall he was good.

As per usual Belichick did a good job putting Mills in a position to succeed. In Philly he was getting absolutely torched in man coverage, but he played a lot more zone in New England and looked like a really solid number 2 zone corner.

Yes, and he got smoked by Dallas at the end of the game - bad look. He ran a 4.6 forty at the combine so I am not sure 1-on-1 with CeeDee Lamb is a great matchup. But he came into the league as a FS, not a cover corner. Hopefully we can draft a cover outside corner this year.

Posted that more for positional schemes with our current signings to see where the holes are. It's from PFF so they include their grades.

Oh my bad.

It definitely did drive home how the Pats need to acquire a starting guard and corner.

I'd also like to see them bring in a defensive lineman/edge, linebacker and receiver in via free agency and the draft although the depth chart from PFF doesn't really stress those positions.

This should be emphasized. We really didn't lose that much. Plus we already have an in house replacement for Mason named Onwenwu.

Still some problem holes that were there last year too.

CB1 is a concern my plan there would be a cheap vet option like Malcolm or something similar combined with a high pick.

I hope Bill still has one or two some what big moves either at LB and/or WR. At this point probably a trade.

Add a few depth pieces to the OL and a few other areas and have another good draft and we will be fine.

Then it's on Mac to step up his game to legit levels or at least show enough to think he can get there.

Yea that was the idea to give a visual. It's definately not a perfect picture of the starting 22 but gives you an idea.

I agree with the needs.
