I saw a report on ESPN today that the Browns and Clowney are working on a deal for him to return. It was not in that report and I can’t remember where I heard it, but I also heard the Browns are working to get Jarvis Landry back as well. Maybe, after they ship Baker Mayfield and his $18 million to another team.
Amazing how a team can dump record setting cash on a new QB and somehow still have money to compete in FA.

Not sure how they know but someone at Florio’s PFT said “Terms have not yet emerged. As one source explains it, it’s a “different sort of deal,” and it’s essentially worth $20 million over two years.”

If it’s a youth movement we are looking at…ok then…I get it. But don’t sign some old farts in the next 2 months that at this point In their careers are no better then average just to take reps away from someone younger.

Ridic low money, I can see however why players are enticed by the Bengals.
It’s hard not to root for them.
Everyone loves a underdog story.

Dayum. Do you have like 100 safari tabs open? Reinstall ? Have you tried chrome to see if it still happens.
It’s only on safari and I do keep a lot of Safari tabs open.

But ... those are "hold the fort" guys, right?

Yeah but I think that’s bad. I want the young guys to play as much as possible in our current situation. By young I mean no more then 28. It’s also a matter of speed. I want and believe we will be drafting fast LB’s in the 235 pound range…like Grugier-Hill who we just missed on…again.

I believe that we have nine LB's under 29, all but Judon and Langi. And Langi won't get many DEF reps even he makes the 53.

I want to hear more of this Karras help recruit Collins to Cincy.
Is this due to Patriots trimming a couple mill off the top of the deal that Karras and the Pats agreed to in principle?
Those kind of axes grinded by previous players.
Is a terrible look.

bastards stole draft picks from us over a real fake version of spygate... i find it hard to root for them

they will only guarantee the first year of a deal... wonder how that attracts some of these free agents

Where did you see that they had agreed on the 15M deal? I missed that.

Yes, we are having a youth movement.

However, I support Belichick long-held attitude that it is fine to have old vets with 1-2 year contracts as backups. The same attitude applies to STers. These are all low cost contracts for players who can readily be cut.

Big difference imo. They didn’t agree on the 15M. BB offered him the 15M. Clearly he never accepted it, and who knows when it was offered. If BB offered him 15M, and he didn’t accept, then the team is going to make other plans. It’s negotiating. Every player in contract negotiations goes through it. They have to decide to bet on themselves, or bet on the market etc. sometimes they’re right, sometimes they’re wrong, and it goes both ways. If he has an axe to grind because of that, then idk what to tell ‘em. NOW, if Bill said we’ll give you 15M, Karras said let me to talk to the Wife, and the next day Bill said nah, 13M, then yeah. That’s ****ed up.

You were right.

We need Mac to get Herron, Ferentz and Cajuste and start inviting the few OL FAs left to his house and get them pumped up.

I'm just concerned about the draft.

With Collins signing in CIN, Bill has no choice but to re-sign Brown. Now if SEA would ever allow him to leave.

What's the best guess on his avg annual pay? $11M?
