Glad he's back:

And I don't have to buy a new jersey...

I was worried I'd have to buy a D-Mac jersey for a year...then another one in 2023....

It is, but I think he's a starting caliber G in this league. And it leaves us with a hole there, unless we re-sign Brown and give Onwenu another go at LG. Certainly not a disastrous loss, but a guy I would have preferred to keep.
Karras came in and really stabilized the line. Bummed to see him go. Would’ve liked to have brought him back and traded Mason. Get some solid picks and free up that cap space. I know Mason has been great, but we have a lot of needs. Finding a solid guard with a whole offseason to plan for it shouldn’t be too difficult. Then again, who knows anymore.

It’s one thing to not resign a free agent. It’s another to do... whatever this was.

Hoping we resign big Trent:

That, or Brown leaves, Onwenu stays at RT, and Pats go with Drew Desjarlais from the CFL with a draft pick for competition at LG. Wouldn’t feel great about this but they’ve done similar before.

Yeah, if that’s true, that’s not going to give anyone any warm and fuzzies.

”Sign today and it’s 3/15, otherwise it’s 3/13.”
”Nice working for you.”

Now that is funny.

Pats "We'll offer 3 years $15M".
Player: "No, I have a better offer on the table".
Pats "Now the offer is 3 years $13M".
Player: "I don't negotiate contracts very often, but I'm pretty sure that's not how it works."

Jete with a big name signing.

love your energy and positivity, great fan.
Yea, sorry not to be thrilled about a team that's in desperate need of young talent signing two 36 yo + 34 yo players past their primes. Those guys aren't going to improve the team from what we had last season. Isn't that the goal?

PFF #13 - Tomlinson: $13.3M apy
PFF #15 - Karras: $6M apy
PFF #18 - Cappa: $10M apy

Karras looks like a bargain.

Talk about a guy who was on the brink of being out of the league from being a massive bust in Detroit and now scores big. As much as he was protected by Shanahan's scheme, the interior line was still a major weakness (him specifically). Jets will regret this move.

Wondering if they have other plates spinning and could have afforded to give Karras more last week but then later had to lower the offer due to year 1 costs and being tight right now.

if you place any stock in PFF.....

Pats finding Guards are as easy as finding late round UDFA CB's Mongo Karras can be replaced.
