Not mentioning the NE Patriots in his retirement announcement. Does that do it for you?
Didn’t he say good bye when he left and then mentioned something to Pats fans when he came to town with the Buc’s this season? I get it he should’ve mentioned the Pats fans in his speech but he didn’t let’s move on, it doesn’t change what he did for this team over the years.

Shannon Sharpe of all people defending Brady

Sharpe actually understands what Brady went through exactly. He wanted to remain in Denver, won 2 chips with them back with the NFC was routinely trucking the AFC and then he goes to Baltimore and wins a chip in his first season just like Brady did in Tampa. I do think with time everything smooths over and I believe that actually happened on Oct. 3 when Brady came here and played us. I look forward to seeing him when he does visit NE in the future.

Congrats to the GOAT - there will never be another career like his.

Hahaha thats the most half assed thing I've seen. I'm sure his PR person said you need to do something and just took this and shared it. Pats will of course retire his number and he'll come but he's going to make himself more accessible to the Bucs. Because thats his organization, not the Patriots. Even if we believe otherwise.

He's getting all sorts of backlash on Twitter now, so he had to say SOMETHING, even if he buries it in an IG story that most people won't read.

It shouldn't shocking be but it is for me. I don't understand how you could retire when you're STILL the top QB in the league at 45, but I prioritize things differently.
Well, Brady said in his post that he needs to be 100% in football in order to succeed, and he says he just can’t do that anymore. He’s played for 22 years and he’s clearly a family man, it seems like things got to the point where he really started regretting missing out on certain family items. And he‘s gotten into a lot of business ventures and branding - which is also taking away from his time, but is also something that he clearly loves too. As you said, different priorities now.

One of the interesting things from the Dynasty (the Jeff Darlington book) was that Brady himself was worried about it back in the day. During the 1st dynasty, at one point on a flight he mentioned to someone how he wanted to play as long as possible, and said he ”looked into it” and said the real reason that the great QBs got worse and had to retire was because they all got families and stopped prioritizing football, and he said he would never let that happen to him. That was the ~27 year old Brady speaking….. but ultimately that seems to turn out to be the reason Brady wound up retiring - that the 44 year old Brady now realized football wasn’t the only thing.

The Tom Brady forum was created because triggered, cry baby patsfans didn't want to see the name of the greatest Patriots player of all time mentioned on the main forum. Those same cry babies are now whining about Tom not mentioning the Pats in his announcement of retiring from the Bucs team. Lmao
the Brady forum was made because posts like ? were ubiquitous ... and 99% of them weren't about Brady... they were about Brady fans relentless wondering, whining what on earth was wrong with posting Tom Brady Tampa Bay crap in the Patriots forum...

In your estimation when was BB washed up?
If I was Robert Kraft, Bill Belichick would have gotten his waking papers the day after he sabotaged his team’s chance to win SB 52. Judgement that bad is not an isolated lapse.

What have we seen since. He drafted N’Keal Harry and keeps playing him despite Harry not being good enough to play in the NFL. I’m no personnel expert, but 5 minutes of video told me Jakobi Meyers was a better player.

He put his own son an impossible situation to ever succeed promoting him over longer tenured defensive assistants and made him a lightening rod for blame and ridicule.

Age acts like alcohol. It exaggerates our bad personality traits. Look at Bob Kraft. Do you think 60 year old Bob Kraft widower or not would have been caught dead in a place like Orchids of Asia?

Myra dying broke him.

You would have fired Bill after SB 52?

Where is Bill Belichick's statement?

I personally dont have a problem with him not mentioning the pats. When i first read it though, thats what struck me but i reasoned he was thanking his current team he is leaving. But the point it is, this is not an off the hand text message. This was drafted and redrafted so I am quite sure he and his team knew what they were doing but not mentioning the pats. They likely have their reasons like maybe signing with the pats eventually. But they knew the reaction they are going to get. Right or wrong .

Celtics didn’t give up on Larry even when it was objectively obvious he was cooked. Which was the right thing to do. Patriots did the opposite and bailed on Brady when he had more to give.
This is why Brady didn't include them.

Guys, Peyton didn't bother retiring as a Colt. Why? They CUT him and gave up on him after everything he did.

Pats didn't cut Brady, but they clearly gave up on him and did some things to push him out.

I don't have an issue with it either. He won a Super Bowl there. Bucs fans should get some due from TB12.

Tom took out a full page ad and sent his goodbyes to us back in March of 2020.
