Very helpful. And reminds me that I have a handicap parking hang tag while I’m rehabbing from knee surgery. When my knee is good I feel hesitant about using it, but when the knee acts up it’s a godsend. i need to look into how that might help with parking. And need to remember that I should consider not just whether I can walk from the train station to the stadium but also how the knee will be while walking back after a few hours in the cold. Hmm. Reminds me how watching from a warm living room with the whirlpool tub a room away is really nice.

Contact the Patriots about handicapped parking, you might need prior arrangements.

P2 used to have a huge handicapped parking area. That parking lot/handicapped parking area is right in front of the main stadium entrance next to the lighthouse. I haven't parked in P2 in over two years so I don't know if it's still there.

Editing to add: Handicapped permit parking is shown here in dark blue. Lot 3A is the area I'm thinking of.

Here's the link to pre-buy tickets although I don't think you have to do that for ADA parking: Buffalo Bills at New England Patriots Parking - Dec 26 | ParkWhiz

Meh, I don't care. Go for it.
But seriously. Miss you Patjew. Don't see you posting around here too often lately. Anytime I see your name come up I know it's gonna be something good.

Don't take offense to this, but you're in that fnordcircle and Kontradiction space to me. Place isn't the same without you

Yes, I've been trying to emphasize that you have to pre-pay to park in anything but General Parking (P10-P11), where you can drive up and pay cash. That includes handicapped parking, where previously you could pay cash day of game.

OT but I have to chime in to agree. And to remind Goose it takes one to know one. You’re in there too along with a lot of others.

foregoing the temptation to continue the above with a healthy dose of sparky humble pie I’ll get serious and say that this thread exemplifies what makes this board great: lots of valuable contributions from across our community.
THANKS!

How could I take offense to being lumped in with my favorite perverts and/or psychopaths. I love those guys too.

Thank you for those kind words... for real. I have some bad inertia with posting these days, but there is nothing more to it than that other than general busyness. I'm going to try to jump back in soon.

Thank you too and I agree and agree. This place is the best. Even when not posting, I'm still here everyday.

This year is a special birthday so I’m thinking of giving myself a special birthday present: a ticket to the Bills game at Gillette.

I’d appreciate some helpful advice. And of course a ticket would be nice, or even just a lead on a good seat for a good price. Right now I expect to be traveling solo so just one seat required.

Also some local knowledge about travel, parking, amenities, etc. Maybe even advice on a place to stay. I’ve been living out of the area for a few years now, or more than a few, and the last Patriots game I attended was in ‘79 or ‘80. So I’m very unfamiliar with the area. It looks like if I tried staying nearby I’d still be five to ten miles from the stadium. Is that worth it? How long would it take to get to the stadium parking? Would I be better staying with friends in NH and coming down 495? How long does it take for the place to empty out after the game?

Any other advice or suggestions?
Per Mike Reiss--Flex thoughts: Could the Patriots and Bills -- scheduled to play at 1 p.m. on Dec. 26 -- be headed toward another prime-time matchup? The NFL is expected to finalize its Week 16 schedule this week. The Sunday night game that week is Washington at Dallas, so executives will likely be asking the question, "Which game has more national appeal?" CBS also has the Steelers at Chiefs at 4:25 p.m. ET -- an appealing game, for sure -- so the possibility that Patriots-Bills remains at 1 p.m. is not far-fetched.

If your knee PT handicap tag is still valid I would use it to park close. Also look into seating options. Don't feel guilty. It's your time to heal and use those amenities.

Oh boy, another possible wrinkle. I need to drive home to Virginia after the game. Moving it to prime time would suck for that.

Part of me would hate that, but I already took the next day off and this gives us more time in the morning to get stuff done. December 26th at night though...gonna need to buy a new jacket

Might be better to stay an extra night if they do that, if possible on your part.

Why not just drive to the game too.

I have driven to almost every NE road game with the exception of NY and SD.
