NFL GAME DAY DISCUSSION Week 14 Other games (Pats on a bye)

Panthers QB Walker looking good tight now with a TD pass, hopefully he gets the start next week.

People talk about Manning’s 28 INTs his rookie year, but he threw 26 TDs too.
Or Andrew Luck who was asked by the Colts to sling it around as well and managed 23 TDs (to 18 INTs).

I think the organizational dysfunction, and lack of supporting cast, explains why a rookie would struggle. But I don’t think it fully accounts for why a “once in a decade quarterback” is this ineffective. If a guy is gunslinging, per the plan, he should have more than 9 TD passes in 14 games. People talk about Manning’s 28 INTs his rookie year, but he threw 26 TDs too.

I’m officially skeptical about Lawrence.

I think Lawrence is in a bad situation - coaching wise, team talent wise, ownership wise.

However having not watched any jaguars football this year, its impossible to offer any type of credible reasoning or rationale for his failures.

with all the guys eligible and probably coming back from the disabled list, I think we need to put Tennessee along with KC ahead of the Patriots. as many of said, the score of that Tennessee game was very misleading because of their turnovers and you can't always count on turnovers. I would give the Pats a very slight edge at home verse Tennessee. but I think kansas city has the Patriots by at least a touchdown anywhere the game is played

Luckily you’re on the internet, where such opinions are the norm.

Haven't watched the Jaguars either, but read a few weeks ago in a CBS article that Lawrence is struggling with the mental parts of the NFL game. Like going through his progressions, identifying coverages and reading defenses, as well as identifying and adjusting to the blitz.

Lawrence never had a chance in Jax with that kind of coaching. I can't imagine Mac would look anything there like he does here.

The issue is his hair. Pretty obvious, no?

Darnold injured, I presume ? Regardless, he was useless.

Anyways, (1) Cam & PJ taking turns (2) and they still within 8 (3) says a LOT about both teams.

What a train wreck division.

Let me guess - you'd still take Lawrence over Mac in NE?

Thank god they changed the game to Browns/Ratbirds

Finally some relief. CBS changed the Chief game to the Ravens.

During the offseason I was pushing Lawrence to boycott going to Jax. This is why.

How do you score 48 points and only have 258 passing yards and 2 TDs. Don't get me wrong. Mahomes is having a nice day, but this stomp had more to due with their D than their offense. KC has a defensive TD along with 3 other turnovers. I said before when everyone was on this D for being on pace to be one of the worst of all time that they weren't that bad. Water will seek it's level. They aren't as bad as they looked at the beginning of the season, and not as good as they looked recently. They are fairly average on that side of the ball and at their best when they play impatient teams that are afraid to not go for big plays because of the KC O.

That is not the first tiebreaker so if that’s what they’re doing then it’s wrong.
Just tried the machine myself and it does indeed call it 1) NE 2) TEN 3) BAL 4) KC in the event of a 13-4 four way tie.

No point arguing what the first tiebreaker is, the rule is the rule, it's H2H/best win pct, full stop. So if the machine is not wrong then maybe what happens here is the Pats and Ravens tie for that first tiebreaker (1-0 vs KC/Ten/NE/Bal), then they move to the second one where the Pats win it therefore they're the top seed. Then with the 3 teams left trying to figure out who is the 2 seed maybe they move to the next tiebreaker since the top one was used already? I'd have to calculate all of that to know for sure but that would explain it.

Darnold is in IR
This is the reason why Cam went to Car
