He knew prior to the game that he wouldn't even break a sweat.Brady only wore it in really cold weather though. I don’t think he would be wearing one in those conditions.
I’m not gonna judge Mac for trying to keep warm. Whatever helps him perform. Still hoping he gets used to it though.
Dudes decked out in Plana Avanti fins... rest of that gear is crap... No bc, single second stage, no octopus, because no bc theres no power inflator... Goggles instead of a mask...

From a lifelong southerner, I give Mac all kinds of props for being able to play in that weather!Brady only wore it in really cold weather though. I don’t think he would be wearing one in those conditions.

The "turbo jet" or "rocket" fins with the channels between the blade and the foot pocket? Or just the solid blade? Not that that mattered... Those were beastly to use, really did a number on the leg muscles...When i was younger, i "upgraded" my fins for diving to these really thick black ones basically because whats what the navy seals use. Well of course, I need to be macho and use the same fins as navy seals!
Bad move lol... they were really heavy, not great for just recreationally swimming along... more meant for power and performance, like if you needed to lift something underwater, those fins can give you a lot of thrust
Completely unrelated, but your post sparked that memory for some reason
Chill factor. Betcha it felt colder on that field than if it'd been actually snowing with a light breeze.Brady only wore it in really cold weather though. I don’t think he would be wearing one in those conditions.

Folks... some terrible news. Simply awful:

Mares Plana Avanti (what I dive with, mainly due to familarity whith how they move/work u/w) were a huge step forward at the time, and are my go to fin... love them... The design has been slightly modified (the Quatro) ... all in all they are a well balanced fin...
The split fin is amazing though... hardly any effort needed and it moves you along really well... probably a full 180 from that old set of rocket fins you wore lol
