captain Andrews holding the line together all year through hell and back
one of the best rated Cs in the league over last 6 yrs
by far best value vet contract in the league over last 5 yrs .. TOT contracts value = 10y/29.6M
signed by bB (bum Belichick) as UDFA

having just another monster game..

I had forgotten that Andrews was an UDFA.. does that validate the contention that BB does not know how to draft??

Heard him on the radio yesterday with Bertram & Zolak, the questions were inane as usual, Andrews sounded very aggravated and it was obvious he wanted to be somewhere else than at that commitment.

I watched that twenty times already. Love it.

Andrew’s vs Simmons and how we help him will be key in the Titans game.

He's got a great screaming voice. Might excel in a metal band.

Love that we've never heard his name this year, and I can't remember if we ever did. That's what you want from an offensive lineman. You never want to hear their names during a game.

Is he the greatest UDFA signing so far during this 20+ year run?
Length of service + quality of play + leadership + wins.

As great of a signing that he was - with all important things you mentioned - CB is such a prime position that JC and even M.Butler are higher value signings.

PS
Its really uncanny how highly drafted DBs did not turn out well in NE and amazing success with UDFA DBs they had on the other side:
2rd picks: Richards (2015), Cyrus (2016), Dawson (2018), JoJu (2019)
UDFAs: M.Butler (2014), Coleman (2015), Jon Jones (2016), JC (2018)

Ironically - if they would just be picked the other way around people would hail drafter Bill..

Wow. Helluva question.

Based on your criteria it would have to be him.

Malcolm and JC are a 1B

Jon Jones, Mike Wright, Randall Gay, Bolden, Adam Butler, Meyers, Gunner and Jakob are in that Tier 3.

There may be some others i'm missing.

I'm a big Georgia fan (I don't know why, by the way) and I remember that 2015 draft. I was hoping for him, then disappointed, then pleasantly surprised when they nabbed him as an UDFA.

Undersized...with the heart of the beast. So glad he's still here.

PS. Jordan Davis in the 2022 draft, please.

ive been tough on andrews and thought he wasnt stout at point of attack, but ive backed off that position.... cant deny he's playing pretty damn well these days, and im sure has been a tremendous help for Mac as a rookie in terms of being able to help call the blocking assignments, etc

Prepare yourself for disappointment on the Davis pick (and you might be pleasantly surprised again)..
First, i dont think Pats will be drafting high enough, secondly, they rarely draft same position back to back esp. if they hit, thirdly, they have all three starting DL playing well and signed through 2022 (plus two solid rotational DLs as well).
Bill does love beef at LOS so stranger things have happened..

Id be surprised & disappointed though if at least one Bulldog is not added in the Draft next yr..
