I watched a good chunk of the Queefs/GB game and their offense just looks so out of sync. Seems so playground-ish. Before it was 3 seconds and the ball was out and only a handful of times Mahomes would scramble and make plays. Now it's like he tries to do that all the time Lots of forced throws as well. Hes getting the protection. Seems no running game and a man who is trying to play up to his contract are the culprits.

I said this a few weeks back, but Mahomes is playing like he's bought into his own hype, and it's costing his team. he needs to cut back on the no look falling down, throwing up a prayer passes that are now turning into interceptions instead of miraculous touchdowns.

The thing is, he’s been doing it for years. I’m not The type of person to say somebody is lucky, but looking at how things are unfolding, it really does look like he was just one of the most luckiest situational players in a very long time. It would not surprise me if he doesn’t fix this. Just think about all the questions he had prior and leading up to the draft. Those were all real. Somehow it just seemed to have worked for a period of time, where so much of what he did almost seemed magical. People have figured him out, and he hasn’t shown any ability to adjust. He might just be another average player moving forward

In a way, it might put a logical reset on the QB market. Which I think is needed. I wish him the best in a way, but literally he set himself up to be in the position he’s in. If he can’t handle it, i’m not going to be sympathetic at all.

The Chiefs gimmick has run out. They remind me of the Kaep 49ers who caught a lot of teams off guard, but their offensive tricks ran out. Remember the 2012 game at Gillette? I watched a lot of 9ers games back then and their offense was not like what we saw that night. They threw the kitchen sink at NE.

The same OC is in Baltimore and after catching the league off guard in 2019, they’ve slowed down as well.

If that’s the case, then Mahomes has been figured out. Not the offense. It’s not like two high safeties is some brand new concept.

This (screenshot) is from the Kansas City Star, showing that play where Kelce is wide open over the middle and he chucks into double coverage.

He had Kelce wide open other times too - literally not covered by anyone, on completions of 25 and 22 yards, along with the touchdown pass. Every time it was over the middle. He’s also terrible at hitting running backs out of the backfield. He holds and looks for the deep pass first, then finally comes back when there’s no YAC opportunity left.

He played like crap until the 4th quarter last night, and then was able to turn on the jets, more like he's done in years past. That turning on of the jets has been absent, however, in many games this year.
