Brandon Bolden appreciation thread

I've always liked him. Most fans and media have accepted the premise that he lacks talent as an RB.

My favorite player.

Brandon is not a loser too and has made big plays throughout his tenure in NE. Like the opening kick off for the Seahawks super bowl. Brandon made a clean block that took out one of the Seahawks notable players for the entire game. I just shook my head and thought to myself that Bolden has done it again. He has made a seemingly meaningless play that will no doubt have dire consequences for the opponent.

He is the classic old skool role guy that Parcells always had on his teams.

He's saved their bacon this year.

With that.. I'm thinking of starting a Hoyer appreciation thread.
If it’s for appreciation of on-field contributions that will be a lot shorter than this thread.

Bolden has been excellent... Sorry but James Whites shoes are big ones to fill and we seem to be doing OK.

Gonna need him more than ever next week if Stevenson/Harris remain out

The problem early in the year was he hadn't played any football in over a year, he was a Covid opt-out last year. Then he only had 1 touch in the opener vs Miami, and they're handing off to him in critical 2nd half plays vs. the Saints in week 2? Not very smart, RB's need reps to get their timing down. That's when everyone got down on him. Now he looks very comfortable out there, he's really a very good all around player.

Got off to a rough start but, been a key contributor for us. Much needed.

I have always liked him.
A team cannot be loaded only with star players (for one thing there's not enough money)
Bolden is a very good ST player who can adequately fill in when 'star' RB's get injured.
BB seems always more concerned with depth and versatility than most GM's and Coaches.
When the other RB's come back, Bolden will again accept his role as a backup and a ST guy
A great team player.

As someone who had always trashed the guy Captain Stone style and hoped he'd be cut for any rookie binkie RB each year, I offer a mea culpa, mea maxima culpa. He has been clutch.
Same. I am on the list of guys who b!tched about him getting key carries early on this year. I was wrong.

Yep, same here... During the off-season & TC I opined that because of his opt-out he would have fresher than usual legs under him... Then the season began and he looked like crap the first couple of games, and I gave him grief because of it... Then the last few games happened and he seems to have shaken off the dust from his RB toolbox... He's made some nice cuts for extra yardage & 1st downs, including during some important 3rd-down situations... Still hoping for the best regarding Omen & Rham...

I agree. Bolden has always been a stellar example of the Patriot Way: Do Your Job.

He’s a serviceable RB, not as talented in any one area as higher profile RBs, but he shows up and gives his best. He does the same on ST and there he’s better than most. Plus he seems to be a good team player, no drama, accepts his role without *****ing about not getting enough touches or playing time, just quietly does his job to help the team win. Good lunch bucket worker, not a star just a blue collar hardworking journeyman NFL player who has earned a couple of Super Bowl rings, and hopefully will help this team earn more of them.

And he does have the most important ability: availability. (avert! Don’t let that jinx him!)

He's definitely climbed a few spots in Pats lore. One of the top non-star role players who are just Patriots from head to toe.

BB is our new super-secret weapon on offense!!!!

...let's keep it that way.

He's my definition of a superschmo.

Average guy who works and thinks his way to greater things. Undrafted, makes the team, becomes an elite STer while still working on his skills as a RB. Is an afterthought in everyone's mind, but becomes a better and more well rounded player than more talented guys who don't take advantage of their opportunity.

At a time in his career when most rbs would start to wear down, he's just getting better. Great role model for our young rbs.
