Mahomes isn’t very scary at the moment. Last night he barely won a shootout with Dan Jones and his Giants. Here is the thing.....
I don't think the NEP will be buyers in next year's FA market which means any players whos contract expire will be comp-pick eligible.
The only players I see as possibly fetching us picks are High, DMC and JC.
Lots of unknowns but if BB thinks this team has a shot at making it out of the AFC, they need a better than average boundary CB to help deal with Allen, Mahomes, etc.
Works out well, because if you're gonna dump something, dump it into the swamps of Jersey. It's harsh, but LDT wouldn't have made the Chiefs' roster except for his guaranteed salary. That's a salary dump.
Their running game scares no one.Mahomes isn’t very scary at the moment. Last night he barely won a shootout with Dan Jones and his Giants.
From Bedard:
"According to league sources who are familiar with what the Patriots are looking for at the trade deadline, New England is trying to land a combination (run/pass) defensive end."
Bedard didn't list any names, but noted the Patriots are seeking a quality pass rusher who also can defend the run.
With the rumblings about players being released if their teams couldn't trade them, (Flowers, DeSean Jackson, etc) I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats were watching the transaction wire to reach out immediately.
Can teams begin negotiating immediately or do they wave to wait until the player clears waivers? With the rumblings about players being released if their teams couldn't trade them, (Flowers, DeSean Jackson, etc) I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats were watching the transaction wire to reach out immediately.

Interesting. That story on DeSean says he has to clear waivers to become a free agent. Did they get it wrong or are there different variants?Vested veterans (more than 4 years accrual time) who are released don’t go through waivers
PFT says that since he was cut after trade deadline, he is subject to waivers. /shrugInteresting. That story on DeSean says he has to clear waivers to become a free agent. Did they get it wrong or are there different variants?
Hey, I could be wrong but I don’t think he has to clear waivers.Interesting. That story on DeSean says he has to clear waivers to become a free agent. Did they get it wrong or are there different variants?
once the trade deadline passes, all players need to clear waivers.Hey, I could be wrong but I don’t think he has to clear waivers.
I think you’re right.once the trade deadline passes, all players need to clear waivers.
remember in 2010 when the Pats traded Moss, and then the Vikings cut him 6 weeks later? He wound up in Tennessee because he was claimed off waivers.
You’re a sad man, a poor excuse for a human.Yep he did.
Pooped his diaper at the Vatican too.
Hey, I could be wrong but I don’t think he has to clear waivers.
So, we have agreement?I think you’re right.
Burkhead had great games against KC in the AFC Championship Game and the Super Bowl in 20219.He’s unreliable. Hasn’t he been injured every year in NE?
