PostGame Thread Official Post Game Thread- Pats beat the Texans

Immediate Postgame Reactions
I'd still like to see them make a move for Rex. IF he's truly healthy and recovered from his ACL, he'd be the next best replacement for White above JJ and Bolden. Bolden is so hesitant and slow. His last run was the only "successful" play he's had in years. And they're giving JJ the fumble-doghouse treatment and looks like they don't trust him in many situations
Yeah.. only "successful play in gyears.. If you ignore the p;lay against the Patriots when he was with Miami.. If you ignore the plays for the Patriots in 2019..

did our rb's catch any passes that werent screens today? I only see bolden 4 rec for 6 yrds . When did that ever happen ?

So the owner can’t have a say in the coaching staff when the HC has proven himself unable to hire them? So Bill just has complete autonomy, no one has any authority over him?
I don't think Kraft has no say. IIRC Kraft was part of the dealings that got McDaniels to back out of the Indy job. I highly doubt Kraft is saying "hire whoever, IDGAF"

The fact that you think that Belichick has "proven himself unable to hire them (rest of coaching staff)" screams that you can't be taken seriously. 21 years as the HC. 19 winning season. 9 AFC Championships. 6 SB Wins. But, he's incapable of hiring his coaches???

Please, pray tell., explain your thinking on this..

If you are really gonna deny that there has been a coaching brain drain from this organization for a number of years now you are literally ignoring reality.

And it’s fortunate that everyone forgets that Bill offered GREG SCHIANO the defensive coordinator job before the 2019 season. He hires friends, kids of friends, and his own kids. Outside of that he hires back old assistants that flamed out somewhere else and now come on the cheap.

Texans were up 22-9 and then punted into their own player. Huge play goes to Lawrence Guy who bull rushed the blocker to then block his own punter's punt. Huge huge play. Gutsy win by the Pats.

1. Mac Jones is the real deal. We have a keeper, just keep this kid healthy and fix the OLine. Those not yet on the wagon after what he's shown in 5 weeks are just stubborn haters who can't admit they were wrong 7 months ago.
2. Judon is mini-LT. 2 sacks and 3 QB hits. Best player on defense.
3. Herron showed me something today. Left tackle was OK today granted the Texans are absolutely horrible. Maybe Herron has a chance as a backup LT, he's a very very bad RT.
4. Barmore should just always play over Godchaux. He's a much better pass rusher and Godchaux is not better in the run game. Barmore is just a better player. Make Barmore the starter over Godchaux.
5. Jamie Collins didn't play much but already registered a sack and 1 QB hit. Give all his snaps to Bentley. Bentley still sucks.
6. I'm not worried about the secondary. JC is still good, fluke plays happen. Maybe offer JC a contract extension asap while he just had this off game. SloJuan still sucks, he should never play again when Mills returns.
7. Hunter Henry can do this every game. Team still has no idea how to use Jonnu Smith. Idiot oc uses Jonnu like a fullback.
8. Offense continues to be 31st in red zone, 31st in run offense, and 24th in points scored per game. Mac Jones should take the next step in development with a better OC, like Bill O'Brien or Chad O'Shea back here next year. The staff around BB is not good.

Bill Belichick has been proven unable to develop and hire assistant coaches? Really?

What bout Indy's cluster vs us years ago where they spread the OL out to the left and right, left just the C and the 2 G's in the middle, then the punter came up under center, took the hike, and was tackled for a 2 yard loss?
I forgot about that one. Good lord what a train wreck.

Cajuste was not bad at RT, not great, and had some help from chipping, but at least he looked better than the other options. If Wynn and Onwenu are back maybe we can hold up against the Cowboys? Onwenu did not look great against the Bucs, maybe he was under the weather prior to the game.

BB is ecstatic at press conf ! might be a clone
I am happy too. Feels like an excellent toughed out team win.

This team has to learn how to do that, as a unit.
Once done, they will believe they can do it again
Repeat.

Kept their cool, came from behind, won.

Mac looks like the real deal. I keep repeating that to myself
But he really does
Consider Da Bearz, others. In their History, never had One guy
Chance of Pats getting another, after 2 decades of #12?
Near zero, yet, there it is.

It means the team will compete.

Mac sacked once today?

Wait, did he play RT? They had him listed as LT to start the game. I didn't get a good look at the numbers on my stream.

Bolden wasn’t on the Patriots in 2019.

I don't get it. We have a better QB, receivers, tight ends and on paper better defense than last year.

But we look worse overall. Struggling against the Texans.

Has to be coaching right?
