I'm not surprised at your whining...you were the one who started the "I'm depressed" thread after last year. This is after 20 years of pure dominance by the Pats. And this year, after 4 games, it appears you're panicking again.

Are people just supposed to say how great the team is, no matter what they actually do in your world?

Imagine if Brady wasn't the QB that year, they win 4-6 games at best. D didn't carry Brady that year as they were terrible.

That team was horrid, the defense was one of the worst I seen. There were years where I thought, how in the hell did we win 11 games. 2006 comes to mind.

I don't know. The only two things that I've seen different about Bill recently is his expressing love for Cam Newton and making Subway commercials. Not sure what that means.

BB's rebuilding, if after 20 years of winning you cant put up with a couple years of rebuilding and a losing record I don't know what to tell you.

That's not what I was told in August. We had the #1 OL, deepest RB corps, top double TE set, great rushing D, best secondary in the league, the best rookie QB of the draft, we were going to win the Division, and be a contender in the playoffs.
I was duped.

1992 Browns
Started: 7-6
Finished: 7-9

The Browns lost their final three games to miss the postseason.

1993 Browns
Started: 5-2
Finished: 7-9

After a strong start, the Browns went 2-7 after, including 1-3 to end the season and miss the postseason.

1994 Browns
Started: 8-2
Finished: 11-5

Belichick’s most successful Browns
team was able to finish fairly strong, though they tapered off down the stretch.

1995 Browns
Started: 3-1
Finished: 5-11

With the distractions (presumably), the team fell apart, going 2-10 after a hot start. They rebounded to get to 4-4 before ending 1-7.

2000 Patriots
Started: 2-8
Finished: 5-11

The Patriots went 3-3 to finish the year and improved somewhat from a terrible start.

2008 Patriots
Started: 7-5
Finished: 11-5

Definitely Belichick best known improvement job, as the 2008 team hit its stride late to win their final four games.

2020 Patriots
Started: 6-6
Finished: 7-9

The improvements never really came, as the Patriots were a playoff contender and went 1-3 to finish the season.

There's no way you knew that Pash had a weak bladder. Him taking several bathroom breaks during that meeting with Specter confirms it. Unless he was going to the bathroom to get bumps, it's pretty clear.

I think with Bill it comes down to a few things. 1) how much longer does he want to do it considering we are in a rebuild and far off from contending and 2) will Kraft want to continue paying Bill $20+M per year for mediocre results. If Kraft figures Bill is in his last few years and we aren’t contending why pay $20+M when you can pay someone else $5m

15m is neglible to Kraft. It probably way less than the value of fan interest tuning in to see if Belichick succeed with another QB or falls flat on his face.

The fanbases of 31 other NFL teams would tell guys like 203 to STHU. Nobody outside NE wants to hear Pats fans complaining about a so-called nosedive after 1.25 seasons. If Bill weren't the HC/GM, I would tell other Pats fans to prepare for a very very long time before the ship is righted.

Avtually they are 8-12...is 20 games enough of a sample or nah? Maybe it was the 160 mil they spent in the offseason and still cant get more than 18 ppg. Is that how they stayed competitive for 20 years? Going crazy in the offseason?

This is the NFL, going from mediocre to great in a short period of time can and does happen even without Bill…

Look back at the 2008 schedule and how amazingly easy it was. All 5 loses were against better teams.

If Brady is healthy they win the SB that year, league was very down in general.

You bought that? I think with a rookie QB starting his first year you need at least a year if not 2 before you can contend.

I don’t think the Pats defense was good enough to win a SB in 2008 but they would make the playoffs and you never know once you‘re in…and they were starting to peak in December which is a good time of year to be doing that.

Yeah it was, in fact they probably would have went undefeated again, piss poor teams in the playoffs. Hey the pats won 11 games playing a .384 Schedule.
