Wickersham book discussion

This is 100% spot on. But the Bradyites simply blame Bill for everything. Every loss that occurred...it's Bill's fault! Every win...it was all Tommy! Notice how quiet they are this week after Brady only mustered 1 TD drive the entire game. 6 super bowls require the GOAT QB and GOAT HC.
It was hoped that after this game; seeing how the team showed their love for Brady, the private meeting with Belichick, their post game pressers and what they said about each other; that the drama was put behind us so we could all move on and remove the toxicity from the forum that has divided it since 2020.

Yet, here you are, managing to stir the pot, which is the only thing you do around here.

When teams win, players get the credit. When teams lose, coaches get the blame. I believe Bill has said something along these lines. He certainly said "It's a players game" after one of the Super Bowl wins. I think it was Atlanta.

I hate agreeing with Goodell but he is right that the Rams would have known. It's obvious Senator Sphincter was looking for one outcome only.
Interesting. Who knew that Pash had a small bladder.

Not just a BB suspension and Kraft probably fires him - I think the Pats would have also been stripped of their SB36 title if there really was a walkthrough tape. You couldn't possibly defend something like that.

LOL. I guess N'Keal Harry must have written a thesis for his answers to those questions.

This should put to rest any notion that Goodell was "out to get the Patriots." He was not. Perhaps the other owners were, but I don't for a second believe Goodell wanted Spygate or Deflategate to occur.

Absolutely not. The owners were out to get the Patriots and help themselves on the field of play. He represents them. The owners however will not want outside agencies in their business and quite frankly neither would I. Look at the historical penalties levied on the patriots, they are ridiculous. Yes other teams were out to get them and he works for all teams.

Really? Then why did he hire the scummiest of lawyers to investigate and appoint himself arbiter on the appeal? Not to mention the faux science used in the report?

Look at bountygate too, what a joke. NFL used Sean Payton to send a msg. The NFL is out to get anyone in its way including their own.

Maybe true about Deflategate on day one. Once those fake PSI reports leaked and the owners and 95% of the country foamed at the mouth for justice, he saw Deflategate as his life preserver. He was 100% “out to get the Patriots” after it ballooned. It would be almost impossible to name a person less “out to get” the Patriots when you look at his numerous lies, some of which were uncovered upon un-sealing the testimony in court.

Not surprising the only dude on the entire forum that has Goodell on his avatar defends him for Spygate and Deflategate. You're not a very good troll, but still a troll.

I don't think he had a personal vendetta against the Patriots or Belichick per se. I do believe, however, he used deflategate as a make-up call for spygate to satisfy the other owners.

I still think deflategate was about ratings and a show of power for the next CBA negotiations

Spygate dominated news cycles, drove interests up in the NFL and made millions if not billions.

The Pats with Brady always had the highest ratings for the Superbowl.

Like wrestling, the Pats and Brady were made the heel of the NFL to stir controversy and make a villain that fans could root against.

Goodell and the owners ultimately only care about making money. It's why we have more playoff teams and a 17 game season

How would Wickersham know that Brady sensed this? Very possible and believable that he really did but seems like an embellishment to me...

Personal vendetta? How he felt while doing it doesn't matter. He did it. He ran wild with that ****.
