Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Bradyplayed the entirety of last season with a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee, according to a report in the Tampa Bay Times.

Brady suffered the injury in his final season with the New England Patriots and it gradually worsened during his first year in Tampa, according to the report.

Brady, who was not listed on the injury report all season, underwent surgery to repair the knee in late February after leading the Buccaneers to a Super Bowl victory at age 43.

Pretty impressive stuff. New team, new system, no offseason, torn MCL… and he still tossed 40 TDs and 12 INTs on his way to winning his 7th Super Bowl.

He put up and he shut up.

So I’m confused:

Brady says:
. “It was an injury I dealt with really since last April, May,” Brady said. “I knew I would have to do something at the end of the year. Happy I did it. It was probably something that was — it certainly needed to be done and there was a great outcome.
.

Tampa reporter says:
“Brady (won the Super Bowl) while playing with a torn medial collateral ligament in his left knee that he sustained in his final season with the Patriots,” Stroud writes.

since when is April/May during the football season?

And how was he ‚with the Patriots‘ if free agency starts in mid March?

how do we know it wasn’t suffered in spring Montana skiing?

Hmmmmm

It hilarious how blatant that people only care about the injury report because the gamblers must have an accurate picture because the league is now in bed with gambling.

I like the Brady forum better actually. Less trolls on the threads and much better, more in depth conversations and debates.

If Brady went 7-9 and Belichick won the Super Bowl we’d be allowed to post Brady threads on the main forum.
There will be a dozen Brady/Tampa threads popping up as soon as the Bucs lose a game or Brady has an off game. Just watch ...

You can play as a QB on a torn ACL. Phillip Rivers did it in 2007. It must have been hell and he was probably high out of his mind on painkillers but he did it. So yes you can play on a torn MCL which is comparatively much easier.

Playing is one thing. Throwing 50 Tds and winning SB MVP while outplaying the best young Qb in the game is quite another.

His knee must have been killing him in the cold at GB.

Of course but that's because history is written by the victors. In this case our gamble of dumping him didn't work and we lost. So it has to be shunted out of the spotlight. If BB's gamble had worked it would have been further validation of his Patriot Way and his insights and the fact that it was BB all along who deserved the credit.
