anyone remember when dallas clark got the concussion?

Dallas Clark got a concussion in the Pats game?

That's pretty much unknown, but sort of the assumption, since he's listed in the injury report, and he probably didn't get it in practice.

Wouldn't that make Dungy an irresponsible and heartless manager for continuing to play him after a concussion?

Colts 30 San Diego 14

In all fairness, Clark probably didn't say anything until after the game. But still, if Clark plays anytime soon, you could certainly make that claim.

haha, an injury to the ear, amazing...did Dungy have to be that specific? wouldnt head be fine? LOL

Could be.

Rodney = Jack Tatum.

He just doesn't hit as hard.

I know Rodneys laid some pretty nasty hits over the years, but actually think his game has simmered down.

But Colts must league the league in "spearing tackles", and they are starting to pay their own price for that, Sanders, Keough (looks like a very short carreer for him), Jackson were self injured in that game.

And am strarting to think the spear is the worst thing in football, for both players.

Freddy Keiaho has an injured.....ear?

And people complained about Belichick screwing with the injury report. He got a concussion, came back too soon and suffered concussion-related symptoms. Glad to see them keeping him out for safety reasons but listing it as an "ear" is just stupid.

While I'm on this, "questionable" is supposed to mean a 50-50 chance of playing. With what we know now, does anyone really think that the Colts had any intention of playing Marv last week? What were they expecting to figure out Sunday morning that they didn't already know? If Marvin said "feels good coach", would they have sent him out?

Didn't pay as much attention to Ugoh, but how likely was he to play? Not knowing if you are playing the quick, rookie left tackle or the slower, experienced one would seem to put you at a disadvantage when building a gameplan.

I think the injury report is pretty stupid and should be done away with. That being said, the side of "good" didn't really distinguish themselves last week on a variety of fronts.

Yes the Bob Sanders spearing Moss, knocked Sanders out of the game
not Moss. Another call the refs did not make..

Anybody hear the broadcast crew just mention in the replay how Manning got whacked pretty good the week before our game and was even woozy after he returned to the field - asking his guys in the huddle what's the score...

That's why when the prima donna whiners in this league point fingers at a HC like BB it's such bullcrap.

The Sanders hit was scary.

Holding,pass interference
do not leave guys in wheelchairs.

How could they miss that,or why not automatically flag that?

Thats crazy.
*********
I too hope 44 is alright.

man,the celts are up by 41.
:rocker:

Why wouldn't they have thrown about 121314 flags on the penalties that they "missed"? I'm not really one of those guys who thinks the fix is in, but when even Steve Grogan admits that he thinks something fishy might have been going on, it makes one wonder.

Which perfectly legal hit do you think Rodney knocked Clark silly with?

Its so tough to say...he's had so many perfectly legal hits through the years.

There was one in '98, another in '01. I think he had another in '02. I've probably missed one or two.

But back to my original point....would that explain the roid use? The legacy of Jack Tatum? That he needed a little outside help to try to get to the level of a Jack Tatum?

Sure, his fellow players voted him the dirtiest player in the NFL, but no one has ever hung the assassin tag on him. He's gotta feel slighted, even a little bit.

He used 'roids? Where did you hear that? Got a link?

What makes you say that? Colts practiced Monday and Tuesday, so who knows when he got the concussion. Freddy's ear is a holdover of his concussion several weeks ago. Not sure why they describe it that way, but just a week or so ago, it was "post concussion syndrome" Ugoh was a shoulder, but I think they list him now with a neck injury. It's a bunch of cat and mouse. Would be nice to know the real story, but just not possible in this day and age.

Wait a second! All you heard last week is that the Pats and Colts switched roles and the Colts were the physical team and the Pats were a finesse team. Yet, it was the Colts defense that was clearly worn out and battered by the end of the game on Sunday. Now this injury report confirms that the Pats beat up the Colts pretty bad on both sides of the ball.

The fact of the matter is having a phyiscial team that is build of a lot small fast guys is a double edge sword. Yeah, they can beat on teams, but they can also get beaten up pretty good when they face another physical team. The bad news for the Colts is that they have a bunch more teams with a lot of physical players still on their schedule.

Ugoh's injury was listed as a neck injury all last week.

And teams don't practice on Monday and Tuesday. Monday is usually gamefilm day and Tuesday is players days off. Virtually every team in the NFL has this schedule if not all.

Here was my thought heading into the Colts game:

The Colts defense is small and fast.
The Patriots offense is big and fast.
