Great mock! I hope we get a QB early, but knowing BB, he's going defense. I think we trade down and take Zaven Collins who I think will be hightower with better coverage skills!

[pre-draft measurables]

Dont'a Hightower
* 6'2", 265 lbs
* Arm length: 32⅝"
* Hand size: 9¾"
* 40 time: 4.68
* Vertical: 32"

Zaven Collins
* 6'4⅞", 270 lbs
* Arm length: 33⅝"
* Hand size: 9⅜"
* 40 time: 4.66
* Vertical: 35"

Great effort...the only two comments I have are:

-If we trade up with Detroit, they are going to want more, specifically next year's number 1
- Don't think Sewell lasts until 13, think he goes anywhere from 5 and the latest 8

Very realistic mock great job.

Pats would likely have to give up a 2022 first rounder for that type of jump.

At the very least yeah, at least a 1st and a 2nd I think. Sf set a pretty stiff precedent with that

A 2nd and a 2022 4th is a little light to get it done. This might work: we swap our 2nd (46) for their high 3rd (72), plus they get our low 4th (139) and our 2022 2nd. Also could toss in one of our two 6th rounders as a sweetener, as the Lions don't have a 6th or 7th rounder.

The Lions end up with a great draft board this year, drafting 15, 41, 46, their other 3rd (101), two 4ths (112/139), a 5th and a 6th. Plus next year they'd have two 2nd's.

We give up a lot, but we have two 6th's and three 4th's, so not a big sacrifice there. The swap of 46 for 72 is a major step down, but we still have a pick, and we could get back up into the 2nd by packaging 72 with one of our other 4th's to get back to around #60. At that point our board would be 1(7), 2(60), 3(96), 4(122), 5(177), 6(188), and 7(242).

Cousins,
Had my relaxing Sunday breakfast of baked Finnish pancake, fresh blueberries and maple syrup, served with two slices of black pepper crusted ham fried, orange juice and a mug of coffee with peppermint/chocolate, then topped it off with a unique bananna and pineapple cake with a cream cheese frosting and yet another mug of coffee I am working on now.

I have a feeling the way the Draft mocks and double secret Draft info are playing out, the top quarteback and the "Fab 4" of also ran QBs will be gone unless we pull our pants down. The pure fact is that after Lawrence, the rest are flawed like those Drafted in front of Brady.
The "mobile" QB "follow-the-leader" trend will in the end, point out that those experiments might not work Think of RG III, Kordell Stewart, Kap, JaMarcus Russell, Michael Vick who started like a house on fire, got beat up and then fizzled. We have one in Cam. His running has definitely hurt his passing abilities.

Those who proved they had passing ability but could run a bit were more successful as passers like Steve McNair and by today's standards, Russell Wilson, Josh Allen and Mahomes......who upon careful scrutiny have had the hell beat out of them in this era.

It will roll back to the QB's with Hall of Fame credentials like Brady, Manning, Brees and the like. This trend will change again.

I think there is going to be a surprise move for the Patriots. Either they trade for Jimmie G prior to the Draft and it makes all the sense in the world to trade Gilmore (a Niners need) for Jimmie G. The Niners signed another QB two weeks ago. With Thursday's pick , they will have 5 on their roster.

Another move is to buy cheap. Nothing that Watson has done carries a felony. It's more in the line of the AB shenanigans. Civll suits are not a League death sentence.
Might the Pats go after Watson for cheap money as far as picks now?

Is the Jordan Love rumor crap? I did not here they were high on him anyway. Not my cup of tea.

I think my above Mock Draft is a "not-so-much" labor now, unless one of the Fab 4 falls. A lot of posters think Mond? Too low a passing percentage. One of the BB rules in selection. Starting to think Trask or Mills in second round. Both are better passers than Mond.

How about Micah Parsons in the first at #15, Atlanta is desperate for CB , so for Gilmore the the top of the second round #35 and we pick.......WR Kadarious Toney, at #46 we take QB Kyle Trask who is comfortable with Toney for almost 1,000 yards last college season? That would be fun. In the third Round grab Eric Stokes or Aaron Robinson, two CBs pushed down in this Draft who might have been second rounders in previous years.
Thoughts?

This crazy scrambling QB stuff has been around for almost 50 years with Fran Tarkington. It's not new. It will circle back to QB;s who use their arm and less of their legs.

Yeah, great plan, use multiple picks to move up and select a 3rd rounder in the top 10.

Trey Lance is a great athlete that hasn't taken a single snap against anybody even close to an NFL prospect. He is nothing but speculation and potential. He is a two year development project.
I wish him well, but he is not a top ten draft pick.
To paraphrase « you are where you’re drafted ».

Because teams are starved for QBs, I suspect Lance will easily get taken in the top 10. « He is not a top ten draft pick » no doubt means you don’t think he’ll live up to some of the hype surrounding him. But, as we’ve seen many, many times in the last 30 years, very few QBs are worth taking... it’s like buying a lottery ticket : the reward is tremendous if you take a Mahomes. Truth is, most of them are Trubiskys & Carrs.

Where does one apply to become a Cousin?

Where’s the Georgia edge defender Azeez Ojulari, a likely first-rounder?

I think we trade back in the first and could very well take him, a Joey Porter-type player.

Um, Najee Harris will be taken before Travis Etienne st the RB position or I’m a radish.

Dude's too small now for what our Edge guys have become here...Give me Penn State's Jason Oweh instead.
