With the score 20-10, Indy CB Marlon Jackson injured himself, and was forced to come out of the game, sparking mass confusion in the Colts D.

My first thought was that the Pats would quickly snap the ball and take advantage of the confusion, but it looked like the Pats had no interest in this, and it also appeared that they wanted the Colts to burn a Timeout

If so, it worked perfectly as they scored anyway, and not having that Timeout cost the Colts down the stretch.

Does anyone think NE purposely forced the Colts into that timeout, or is there another reason the ball wasn't snapped sooner?

I seriously thought that this is exactly what the Pats were doing, forcing the Colts to take a timeout. I just doesn't make sense otherwise. They are too smart not think 2,3,4 steps ahead. Make them burn a timeout which could and was costly later.

My buddy and I talked about this exact same thing as well.

Not sure if this was planned or not but it did work out well.

LOL, I was yelling at the TV for them to snap the ball there.

I think its one of those last minute line strategy. I would do the same thing if I know im scoring and leaving more than enought time on the board. Sure make 'em use their timeouts. It was one hell of a game, and we sure deserve this win.

I'm not sure. On the one hand, forcing them to use a TO--especially in a close game--may prove crucial. On the other hand, especially at that moment, forcing them to use a TO also allowed them to bring Sanders and Jackson back into the game. So if they decided to force the issue, it was most definitely a calculated gamble.
