It's easy, and only takes a few moments.NE only got a 2nd for Jimmy with low miles.San Fran just traded a TON for a rookie QB. It seems insane to me that they would do that and hang on to Jimmy G. They could get one of those first rounders back from the Pats, easy.
Jimmy has little guaranteed money this year or next. My guess would be that the Pats (or whichever team ponies up for him) would rework his deal out a couple of years. Jimmy would love that. Can a Jimmy G trade work financially without trading Gilmore (either to the 49ers or someone else)?

I think Belichick would bite. He loves Jimmy. He'd trade #15 for Garopollo and a third or something like that.NE only got a 2nd for Jimmy with low miles.
Years later and injury prone, a 1st pick is highway robbery.
There is no way the Pats are giving away #15 for a player that SF wants to replace badly and that is on a 25M contract this year.

Zero chance we give up a first. Any team fixing up a first rounder for him is getting taken for a rideSan Fran just traded a TON for a rookie QB. It seems insane to me that they would do that and hang on to Jimmy G. They could get one of those first rounders back from the Pats, easy.
Bill is infatuated with Jimmy. Could Bill give up #15 for Jimmy and some mid round picks (3rd round)? There is no way the Pats are giving away #15 for a player that SF wants to replace badly and that is on a 25M contract this year.

At this point Lynch is likely on the hot seat. If the QB is a whiff, then he doesn’t deal with the repercussions of not having a 1st rounder the next two years as he’ll be canned anyway. If he hits on the guy, they’ll think it’s worth it.The SF GM is nuts.
There are rumours the 49ers want Minshew. I wonder if a 3 way deal could be made between us the Jags and Niners. Something like:If it's Trey Lance, I'm guessing they hang on to Jimmy for one more year. It sounds like he's a bit raw and it doesn't do the kid any favors to hand him the starter job from week 1.
