Has a running back ever done this? Insane considering he missed like 6 games.

Figured it out, hasn’t happened since Marshall Faulk in 2001 (according to Michael Hurley). That’ll be a hell of a trivia question one day when another running back pulls it off.

2014 chiefs, Jamaal Charles and travis kelce were tied at 5 each... Only team I can remember off hand where a rb was that productive in td receptions

Yep...whatever was holding the offense together completely fell apart when Burkhead went down for good in Houston...
The PASSING game was complete crap the entire season with Newton under center. It wasn't much better with Stidham and was much worse with Hoyer. So much so that BB never let him dress again.

The problem is that Newton KNEW he was so bad that inside the 20, he would almost always try and take it himself. Screwing over the receivers and the RBs. It's why Cam set a career high in TDs.. It's why he MUST go.. No amount of TC is going to allow him to fix what is wrong..

I’m glad they took their shot with him though. He showed flashes before Covid and then the wheels fell off. I agree, the experiment failed and its time to move on.

"Took their shot" ?
or
"Took what was left"......... from the UNWANTED bin ?

Yep, took their shot, kicked the tires. Problem is besides “you and a few others” there would of been boatload of threads of why they didn’t.

Thread count is a very important consideration when selecting Brady's successor

Yep and I’m glad I don’t have to read them now. But yeah, thanks for the reminder. Don’t think I would of been able to figure out on my own that random stuff we post here doesn’t apply to Patriots moves and acquisitions.
