“Jarrett has worked hard. He’s tried to take advantage of his opportunities..”
- BB on Stiddy

That's not exactly a rousing endorsement. IIRC he said something similar about Tebow when he was here.

I trust Bill's opinion on this. I don't need to see this guy start. He is not long for this team.
How can you be so obtuse?

What did Stidham do between last December shredding our #1D in practice, and July 25th when camp opened in 2020? Band Linda Holliday in the locker room? What is it? What is it you dopn't get about how dumb your comments are, other than make it obvious you can't handle whoever Brady's replacement will be because you have an unhealthy obsession with Tom Brady? Why did he choose Stidham to be the only back up to Brady in 2019, when he could have said it was Hoyer and kept the 3rd QB in Stidham since he had just drafted him?

Since you have your little crystal ball all tuned up, can you answer these questions?

BB kept Mallett for like 3 years and never showed jack squat in preseason and BB certainly didn't think he was good enough to be Brady's lone back up. Get it?

You're horrible at reading between the lines, which makes your self-assurance how right you are, so freaking hilarious.

Agreed, and I do not hear him say it anymore but I am an occasional listener so maybe I miss it - he used to constantly say it.

The salary cap is actually quite clever in that it allows the players to structure their contracts in various ways and holds the owners accountable to hit a minimum payroll number to ensure the players are getting paid. I do not know every detail like Miguel but appreciate the effort that went into figuring out the salary cap rules so the players receive their money and hold the owners accountable.

It's because he's a moron and doesn't understand economics or finance. He's too busy running his mouth like a 12 year old girl at the mall.

What's an easy cap league, if the NBA. You basically arrange 3 star contracts and then fill in the other starter spots, and a good bench. That's it. It's that easy.

He seems to not grasp football has injuries constantly, so depth is vital, and how even 1 bloated contract can have a trickle down effect with other contracts and egos in the locker room, which is why BB is careful and puts a top number, usually the first number he presents to the player, as the best he has.

Only the crazy town people like Seymour, Mankins, Welker and Butler really had issues. I remember Frank Bauer, Mankins's agent once compared Mankins to John Hannah. This is the same Mankins who was the worst postseason player for this team with the biggest contract, the franchise has ever seen. Horrible ROI on him.

So which beat guy are you?

My guess is Tangass. Back on the airwaves, dumb ass takes and contradictory statements left and right.

So weird... I didn't mention Brady's name at all when talking about Stidham. You're the one bringing it up - while calling me obsessed. lol

Anyway the Pats weren't looking for a replacement for Brady when Mallett was here. They are now. They gave the opportunity to Stidham. He failed to take that opportunity and run with it, it's as clear as day Belichick agrees, and that's why he will never start a meaningful game for this team. It's over. Decision made. Bye bye

How about Stafford?
Stanford is going to

1. Cost a fortune and I’m talking a 35-40 million a year.

2. By all reports wants to go to a win now team and I don’t really think he’s going to look at our results this year and who he would be throwing to as an exciting prospect.

So why not just use Hoyer as the back up the next 3 games and release Stidham then, so can save a roster spot and get a look at another player from the PS or off the bench?

Are you honestly this stupid? Cam Newton blows as we see on our tv screens, but he was the only veteran QB better than Hoyer available in July. BB had to get a 3rd QB BECAUSE OF THE PANDEMIC. No one was in Foxborough this offseason due to Covid19 so they could not physically see Stidham to analyze his progress. Get it? Were you honestly not awake this entire year? Do you believe the pandemic is a hoax? What is it?

Holy mackerel.

Newton was signed on July 8. Camp didn't open until 7.25. He was made the starter immediately. There was no way Stidham had time to look better than either QB, which is why all the reports were the same. No one stood out. It had nothing to do with Stidham not doing anything. He WASN'T ALLOWED TO BE THERE PER NFL RULES. BB felt the pandemic would block his preparation, that's why he never signed Newton earlier. In fact, what's more, it was confirmed Newton and NE had been talking for a while. This means BB made the decision to favor turning to someone with NFL experience to play it safe during a pandemic pretty early on based on the NFL's schedule.. Once all the camps were cancelled where he could effectively judge his progress, probably hoping he'd look good in OTAs, mini camp and preseason, you know, like he always does as a coach; it wasn't afforded to him. Get it? If he can't see it due to a pandemic, how can he sign off on it? It doesn't mean Stidham will be cut because he MIGHT pose a threat to tainting your dreamy feelings for Brady of he is any good and helps the team into a playoff position in the future. Get over it. Brady is the GOAT, but he's gone. Get over it. You people are creepy as hell.

I mean, this is embarrassing for you. I am getting embarrassment FOR you.

He won't cost that much. He'll come down to 25 which is a tag price. He may have to come down lower, actually. The Jets might pop in there if they walk from Darnold since they're the Jets. The market is flooded, especially if SF walks on Jimmy. In fact, if they do walk, offer Jimmy 25 per for 2 years, and then have Stidham back him up and then turn it over. With a lowered cap and a full market, Stafford has no leverage for those numbers.

The poster you're responding to was crapping on Brady within a week of his leaving. Now he's a Brady fanboy? I don't think so. By the amount of responses he gets around here he's a troll, and a pretty effective one.

I was watching some videos from a couple seasons ago before cam blew his shoulder out and he looks like a totally different player.

Did injuries just screw up his throwing mechanics?

You keep bringing Brady up in a topic that has nothing to do with him... and *Im* the one obsessed with Brady

Stid is not an NFL QB. He had his chance and blew it. Maybe when the CFL calls he can prove to a team there he’s worth keeping.

Again, you think you're smarter and better than BB. Did you say JimmyG was not an NFL QB in 2015? What a fraud you are. Total fraud. His binky Brady craps himself in 2019 over selfish ego demands for his contract until 45 and he's going to apparently try to smear any of the possible QB replacements for Brady, even if he makes absolutely zero sense, even with reality presented to him. You sure are a smart guy! lmao

Nope. You’re comparing a 4th round never-will-be with a guy who played in the Super Bowl last year. Lol

Jimmy >>>>>>> Stiddy

Can you explain why he's so butthurt that BB drafted a QB last year and immediately had him as Brady's lone back up in 2019, but he's so happy with Newton then?

He also denies that there is a pandemic, which is creep city.

Bill is starting a guy who can’t throw over Stiddy. Tells me all I need to know.

Bye bye Stiddy.

Not saying Stidham is the answer or is any good. But there are plenty of reasons why Bill is going with cam newton.

One being his leadership, he's helping the young guys and the guys love him. Unfortunately his off the field qualities haven't translated to on the field.

one of the things that you hear a lot of from the hundreds of coaches that have rolled through Detroit over the length of stafford’s career is that Stafford is uncoachable!

I am hopeful bb takes a hard pass on Stafford.

best case scenario is San Fran cuts jimmy and we swoop in and sign him!

at that point we give newton a pat on the back and have security escort him from the building forever!

Ps: after we draft a qb in the 2021 draft (ridder?), we bring back security to escort hoyer from the building forever!

well if we ever want to win another superbowl, we're eventually going to need to pay somebody. maybe not stafford but somebody

0% chance of you getting him for near that much and if he did he would do it for a team like Indy that is clearly ready to make a run

We will but I think it would be much smarter to draft, find a guy that will give you 4 cheap years to build and then will be here long term when you pay him
