Marshall Faulk gives edge on offense to Colts in EVERY position

Wait until he does the defense and give the Colts the edge at eveyr position.

I almost fell out of my chair laughing when I heard Marshall talking about all this lol.

First he says Manning is better because the Colts built the team around Manning whereas Brady came into a team that was already built and setup... yea that 2001 team just had the most talent I've ever seen lol. He then goes on to say that Manning calls his own number and knows what wins games and he calls run plays instead of his own number to win games, so he's better than Brady. HAAAAAA

Marshal gave the Colts a similar ball washing on Dan Patrick's show yesterday as well.

I'm just waching it now as we get Total Access a day later. It did get rediculous but then again I can't take Faulk seriously anyway.

I thought Marshall Faulk and Kevin Faulk were cousins. What they aren't that close or something?

I remember during that superbowl run in 2001 both Kevin & Marshall were asked about this and Kevin said matter-of-factly that they were distant cousins and had met only once or twice. Marshall said with obvious disdain that they were "very distant" cousins and that he didn't remember ever meeting Kevin (as if by suggesting there was a connection Kevin was trying to associate himself with Marshall's greatness). Loser. I think the fact that to this day he cannot bring himself to say anything nice about the Pats is hysterical. He makes himself look like an idiot every time he does it.

NFLN must ask itself if one of their employees is just "mailing it in" here.

Does this guy even give an effort?

Just more "brilliant" analysis from Marshall. For the life of me I can't understand why this guy has a job as a football analyst.

In other words, they're probably as related to each other as they are to John Henry Faulk.

You guys may be ridiculing and laughing at marshall Faulk but in reality he laughs last and best because you by watching him and publicize him drive up the ratings and pay him the big bucks. Just keep it up.

When will light dawn on Marblehead for you fans complaining about these mediots? When will you realize that they know LESS than many thoughtfull posters on this forum and others? When will you stop watching? When will you stop flagellating yourselves????

Well, what's most impressive is that if the Colts are better in every way, and Brady continues to have the year he has had so far, what does that say about the Brady, Manning debate? Statistically, Brady is doing more with less if you listen to the Pundits, yet.... Manning's better.:D

Figure that logic out. They want to have it both ways. Manning's better, has better weapons, but Brady's on pace to shatter half a dozen passing records this year.

Well, lest we forget, the better team didn't win in XXXVI, and the Rams lost the game themselves. What a bitter, bitter man.

The Rams were right about one thing.

"Tonight...a dynasty is born."

Well I'd ask marshall this...

Let's assume the Colts have the better WR, OL, TE, and RB. How the hell do you THEN come to the conclusion that the QB is better when the QB of the team with worse WR, OL, TE, and RB has the far better "stats", on pace to shatter every single season passing record?

Come on, you're using logic and reasoning! Unfair.

Listening to the Patrick show reminds me of the old adage. Don't get into an argument with an idiot, because you'll end up sounding like an idiot. Dan Patrick sounds pretty stupid in that clip.

Then why are people complaining?

In a show if EVERYONE favors one team then there is no show or attraction. Remember when they ask two people on a show in a matchup like this, they are always going to take opposite sides. Since Rod took the Pats side, Faulk took Colts side. On the coaches segment Steve took the Pats side and Jim Mora took the Colts side. It is simple guys. Their objective on the show is not to be correct or objective but to ATTRACT AUDIENCE to their show to increase the viewership and ratings. That is all. Why do you think media creates controversies all the time???? Because it will increase viewership & ratings. That is all media cares about!!

I just don't understand why people get so worked up over the opinions of sportswriters, radio hosts or television commentators. Those people are generally not any smarter than the average bear. They might have more information than the average fan, but that doesn't make their opinions more right than the 6 pack drinking stiff down at the local pub. Whether it's Marshall Faulk, Skip Bayless or Glenn Ordway, they are still just guessing, as their wins/losses records at the end of each season tend to prove. If you find someone who's opinion you value, follow that person and ignore the people you think are clowns. After all, it's just entertainment.
So we're not allowed to disagree and have our own opinions?

For ESPN I would tend to agree, though there are days when Sean and John agree with each other. You will always have clowns like Shlereth and Greenberg, but guys like Reese, Parcells, and Ditka are going to tell you what they think.

NFLN to me has tried more to be correct than be controversial. That's why I pay for it. Stunts pulled like Faulk did is the exception, so much so that Rod called him on it.

The fact that you say Rod took the Pats and Marshall took the Colts shows me you didn't watch the show.

Rod did not take the Pats. He was about 50-50, giving the nod to the Pats or Colts as he saw it. Marshall simply went with the Colts down the line.

Rod gave "One edge to Colts & Everything else to Pats". Faulk picked Colts in all categories.

How would it look like if no one created any controversy. You & I won't be talking about it :D That is what they want.

I don't think anyone here misses this point - that's pretty fundamental. Since you're a newbie, and a Colts fan, you're likely not aware of the fact that Marshall Faulk does this, quite literally, EVERY time he talks about the Patriots. He hates them, he never picks them, he bashes them at every turn.

Having said that, there's certainly a degree of "Who cares?" that should probably take hold here - just not for the reason you're promoting.

Same for Rod Woodson to Colts. He picked against Colts in the last 5 games!!
Ex players & Coaches may have their own agenda. Who knows? and who cares.
