Was it worth it, Tom? Both sides are going to regret the divorce for a long, long time.
I have said this before and got killed for it but over the last month it is becoming more apparent. Brady has lost a step. I thought that was apparent last year too. No shame in saying that about a 43 year old QB. I wasn't suckered into him having a couple elite games this mid-season because that what aging players do - show flashes of his former self but cannot do it consistently.

The good news for Tampa is a Brady losing a step is still better than like 25-27 starting QBs in the NFL, but he is no longer elite. He can play elite at times, but not consistently.

And yes, Leftwich is no McDaniels and Arians is no Belichick, but Brady would have been crap last night for McDaniels and Belichick. The difference would have been that McDaniels and Belichick would have hid Brady's deficiencies last night as best they could while Leftwich and Arians exploited them.
It seems your right except for the last paragraph. Coaching would have made a difference. BB and McD would not have Brady taking deep shots after deep shots when it wasn’t working. Certainly not with the game on the line.

You just have to look no further than the NE Rams superbowl. They were patient. Arians seems to not have the patience to dink and dunk down the field and score in the final seconds of the game.

Ding! Ding! Ding! We have a winner!

Arians is one of the least patient, least disciplined coaches in the league- it's hard to watch him coach.

seems like Brady read all the criticism about how he isn’t throwing the ball well downfield and took a bunch if ill-advised deep passes last night just to prove people wrong...

Brady ought to get the freedom to improvise or call his own plays he's done it in NE.

I don't know how "fun" it would be to play on team shepherded by Arians

Fun to watch and maybe fun to play, but in the 7 years he's been HC, he has a whopping total of one playoff win.

which he would have been a loss if Larry Fitzgerald didn't bail him out in OT

Tom will have Arians fired, that is pretty obvious.

Tom wants to involve the TEs more. Tom wanted AB, Arians did not. Arians criticizes Tom in the media fairly regularly.

If they do not win the SB, Arians is gone.

The refs bailed him out by not calling the facemask on Aaron Rodgers, which is as blatant as a missed call as I've ever seen

Josh would be a better OC or head coach than Arians in Tampa, but with 3 years left on his contract, I can't see Bill giving the Bucs permission to interview him. If you are Belichick, why would you do anything to help Tom out?

How many times has Brady ripped his pants on national tv this year?

Yeah, he says some dumb things like last week complaining about 3-4 field goals after scoring almost 50 with I think 5 touchdowns. Something the coaches here would never do with that kind of offensive output.

Then last night. The NE mentality would be field goal and if TD, that is gravy. BUT ARIANS mentality is TD or nothing.

I have a newfound appreciation of BB and McD coaching from the last few years. As the offense declined year over year, they relied more on the run, strategic play calling, special teams, situational fb, and defence. NE won a lot of close games this way.

Of course TB is in TB and NE is below .500 because of the bad drafting the last few years and Tom didn't get the Brees treatment he deserved for his twilight years.

Lol I don't know what you're even arguing here? The refs are costing our 4-6 team games? Take off the footie pajamas.
I believe he is talking about last year's Chiefs game, when the refs "assisted" in the Chiefs win.

Hard to see that team getting through all the way to a SB win...

Offense is struggling to get it together, not sure it even will this year, especially with their massive liability at LT. Brady doesn't look comfortable at times, forcing way too many bad throws. Has flashed greatness with dashes of pedestrian play. Still a 10 or 11 win team, but whether they can put it together come playoff time remains to be seen. Guess its better than being a 6 or 7 win team

Very high chance they are 11-5 after the season ends. Next two are against the Chiefs and Vikings. Considering what Goff did to their defense those two should feast.

To be honest, Brown really hasn't brought much to the team as of yet. his addition was talked up as making them "unstoppable"

I don't know, he's on a pace that would bring him 96 catches in a full season and he's still getting up to speed. Much as I loathe him, I wouldn't call that not bringing much. He isn't the one throwing interceptions at crucial moments.

and NE is below .500 because of the bad drafting
Bad drafting is not why they lost to Seattle, KC, Denver, Buffalo or Houston

Seattle was just going to the well one too many times and they were ready for it

KC was a loss because they couldn't do what they wanted to offensively with Hoyer who killed them in the red zone

Denver was just the result of the QB and offense basically not practicing for 2 weeks

Buffalo just a bad turnover at a bad time

Houston, McDaniels trying to be the smartest guy in the room but looking the dumbest.
I mean come on that's the worst run defense with an offense that can move the ball, there is no reason why Damien Harris should have 11 carries and why Moncrief was active over Michel That should have been a "we are running the ball 40-50 times and if we lose we lose" game

Ahh if that is the case then I do agree. Boger botched that one badly.
