The Jets are just that bad under Gase. There truly is no bottom lmao. Beating the Jets is always great but I don't think it undoes all the bad we've seen from the Pats (including most of that game.)

Cam's arm looks truly dead at times though, like he's having to do ridiculous wind-ups just to get intermediate throws out. I don't remember that earlier in the year.

Keep telling yourself Brady had this same lineup lol. Michel was better, A better more healthy Edelman, Dorsett whois better than any active WR, a halfway decent defense that can get pressure and a better more healthy OL. Stop it dude. And no one is celebrating, Brady would suck with this trash offense as well lol, thats why he left, no?????? Why does Josh call all running plays in the red zone? Cause no one can make a play in the red zone .... not the same my friend, sorry..
Wrong.

Go ask Matt Light. He has the answer.

Again, this should have been a two fold approach. One, you possibly stay in the running for Lawrence. Two, you by losing the rest of the season ensure the Jete don't get him. Period.

Instead, Bill, who won't be here in 5 years probably, doesn't give a bleep. That is a fireable offense. Go look up Breers tweet regarding the Jets tanking. Went something like "It was nice to see the Jets play hard all the while keeping the greater good in mind".

Huh imagine that play hard by tactfully tank at moments to make it look good. Bill is gonna leave the Pats in a horrible position.
In 2021, the AFC East QBs will be as follows:
Bills - Allen
Fins - Tua
Jets - Lawrence
Pats - ????

Once Becton went out, they couldn't run the ball. Man, he is one scary dude!
I re-wound his final play last night, a couple of times, and I still had no idea how he hurt himself...Weird...Took the TV guys a couple of plays to notice that Edoga was at LT...Dude sucked too, and is so small for the position he makes Wynn look like Becton...

The network gotta do a better job of not over running the commercials into the games, last night was so sloppy

The WR "gave himself up" by not getting up, no need to be touched.
But did Meyers call time out or did someboby else? Because only he knows if he is giving himself up there, so shouldn't only he be allowed to call time out at that moment...?

EDIT: Never mind, the contact by the foolish DBs allowed anybody from the Pats to call time out...and Meyers definitely did Not give himself up...

Ironically enough, people seem to forget where and when the Jets drafted Sam as the overall 3 round draft pick, and the only QB that went higher was Baker Mayfield.

Looked like a feet first slide to me. By rule that's giving yourself up. Bill probably would have won a challenge if the Jets let him go.

Can't really fault the Jets anyway they're not looking at the clock as it happens, that's a bang-bang play and instinct says contact the runner.

Meyers was Not giving himself up there...In fact, he was beginning to rise...

But their coaches should've TOLD them to allow whichever receiver caught the ball to LET HIM GET UP AND RUN OUT THE CLOCK...

If their coaches really really wanted to win the game that is...

I just rewatch the play. In fact Meyers didn’t give himself up, he had to get to his knees to catch the ball and was in the process to turn around and get up when the Jets arrives
You can't challenge inside 2-minutes. And he wasn't "giving himself up". He had to go to his knees to make the catch and was trying to get up when contacted by the Jets.
Correct...Jete DBs should've been Explicitly told Not to touch the man.

Sincere question, why not just not pay the players, loose all your games period, and get the best draft possible?

Being that this is a team sport, and people may find this hard to believe, but pro athletes in general play to win added that there are so many variables on a 20 plus man playing team, it's impossible to know exactly what you need unless you're playing the game.

I've never played pro football but have you where you can offer some invaluable insight on why guys would play to lose?

B/C it's a throwaway year....the Pats are not going to get into the playoffs and they are certainly not going to win the SB. You have one of the best QB prospects we've seen in years. What good is it if you end up 8-8 and pick 15th in the draft when the top QBs are going to be gone by then? If the Pats had their QB of the future, I agree - go for it and win as much as possible, kinda like the Giants, who have Daniel Jones. We're in a different spot though.

You answered only part of my question.

Why not just forfiet the rest of the year and take the losses?

I'm not a pro athelete, but I hate to do things half assed when I'm getting paid to do it. Can't help but think that a pro athelete would have even more pride than myself when it's your work defines you.

What's worse is the best QB prospect is going to our most hated divisional rival.

It's amazing that a lot of the Boston media get paid to act like this:

No wonder most of the fan base are the way they are....

Bedard's absolutely correct.
