Why run it up on the Colts?

soo, what would happen if it was a 0-0 tie? would the world explode?

i think there is a better chance of Mel Gibson becoming the next president.

It is impossible to 'run it up' on the colts. That is because they are capable of scoring a lot of points in a hurry. Therefore if you have the lead on the Colts you've gotta keep 'pouring it on'. Feeling sorry for them can lead to a loss. So 'running up the score' on the colts should be seen as a sign of respect. Plus... it will be a lot of fun to watch!

Zackly......... No such thing as "running up the score" on Indy. Not after last year. Unless we're up by like 50 with 3:00 left or something, NO LEAD is safe with them. It's one of 2 teams you can say that about this year. The other is us.
I have to agree. Obviously, both teams are looking to win by whatever means necessary. If either team is up 21 going into the 4th quarter I'd be shocked if either team is sitting starters. If you're not sitting your starters then by definition you're looking to play your best football. As a team as long as you win the score is what it is, no?

don't expect to be able to run it up against the Colts like you was able to do on the other teams
The Patriots did it against the Washington Redskins who have a better defense than the Colts.

If the Patriots are running up the score on the Colts why blitz ten to smother Brady every play? Because they can.
You use good logic.

Because it's STUPID to blitz ten guys?

Either you are hard of HEARING or you have trouble finding good analogies. Whatever, you run up the score because you can. If you can't, you don't. That is called KISS. There is no rocket science to running up a score. There is no secret to it. You can't do it if you are not capable. If you're capable, you do it because you can.

Run it up because the Colts have proven many times over that no lead is safe against them. You shouldn't be comfortable with a 3 touchdown lead on the Colts, because they have proven that they can make that up in about 5 minutes.

I agree and we practiced well with the redskins on running up the score and with a bye week coming The mighty PATS giving all their got cause they got the time off next week. GO PATS!!!! ALL HAIL THE OLine a.k.a THE SPARTANS.

Okay, can we seriously all not travel down this road again? We are all just people on a keyboard and have no idea what goes on in people's personal lives. You can dislike Dungy for a lot of things, he gives plenty of reason, but picking on a guy because his son committed suicide? That really should just not be mentioned.

We travel down this road because some people make snap jugments about people with diseases that they don't understand. It's infuriating when you have known people with that (or any) disease. They struggle from day to day, and their families live in hell along with them, marriages fall apart, and then we have idiots proclaiming that somebody with the disease is a coward, and that the family is a bad family.

It's one of the reasons I sometimes want to swear off being around football fans. Maybe other sports generate morons like that too? Probably.

i think there is a better chance of Mel Gibson becoming the next president.

He could become the pope of the Jews for Jeezuz.

And Kramer could become the pope of the Chicago projects.

We should run up the score on the Colts if we can so that Bill Polian will panic and make the Competition Committee loosen restrictions on defensive backs again to reign us in.

As great as this season has been for the Pats so far, I think I'd welcome real, defensive football again.

Yep. The same Dungy turd whose coward son decided checkout via suicide and it became a huge national news that we should all pour tears for him and his loser family. Nice father he must be. Got a lots to say about others but can't keep his house in order

But hey, its my right to say whatever I want about whomsover.

All I can say is, you'd better hope there's no such thing as karma.

run it up on the colts because they have beat us the last two years, dungy and other players have talked **** about the patriots in the past, and bill polian said that the patriots time was over after the AFCCG last year. that and it will piss of the indy fans.

The Patriots did it against the Washington Redskins who have a better defense than the Colts.

are you kidding me? they are in the NFC and anybody that knows anything about football knows that the NFC is weak...

Dallas isnt

yeah I will give you that one, but the AFC teams still beat up on them alot though. But thats not a knock on the Pats either, they went into Dallas and kicked the crap out of them

You don't remember Dungy's "it's a sad day for the NFL" comment? While not specifically calling out BB/NE, he supported the notion that it was a big deal worthy of a witch hunt.

Then it must have been a happy day?
