Call me crazy, but I can definitely see a couple of long kick/punt returns for the pats non sunday, maybe even a kick return td. The Pats are numbe rone in the league in kickoff return average, and weve seen the explosiveness of Willie Andrews and Ellis Hobbs.

I have yet to hear any of the talking heads bring this up. We've aldo seen Vinatieri miss some key kicks against the pats. Traditionally the Colts coverage teams have faired pretty poorly. Colts fans: how are they doing on special teams coverage this year? I have to admit its not something I always pay attention to.

Better than last year, that isn't saying a whole lot, they can still give up big returns. Their coverage looked very good yesterday.

We have a big edge here.

We average 29.2 per kickoff return (1st), they average 23.9 (14th).
We allow 22.6 per kickoff return (12th), they allow 24.7 (21st).

We average 10.1 per punt return (11th), they average 9.0 (16th)
We allow 5.5 per punt return (6th), they allow 18.1 (31).

On the punt return allowed, they're both small samples as the Colts have only had 7 punts returned and we have had, get ready for this, only 2 punts returned.

Wow thats saying something right there.

Great stuff.

Does anybody know what the average field possition for kickoffs is? I am interested in how deep Vinatieri is kicking the ball?

I hope that we can make them punt a few times.
