Devin Mccourty’s baby died

This is a very very sad situation.

miscarriages suck. I lost a 7 day old nephew to SIDS a few years back, it was a total gutpunch to everyone involved. To this day it's the only funeral I've ever bothered to attend, my bro deserved that much.

Terrible. Like many others in this thread, I've been through it too (sibling). One of the worst things that can happen to anyone.

Terribile...:(

4 out of my 5 children were born with that ****ty cord wrapped around their neck. We were blessed every single time to have no long term complications to any of our children. I’m sorry to everyone who has lost a loved one who never was given a full chance. Just awful.

Just horrible news. I love the McCourty family, just a great family. My thoughts are with them.

It's always sad to hear this type of stuff. Condolences go out to his family.

Not a good situation. I also lost a 2 day old niece years ago.....terrible times and unfair.

Peace to him and his family. Child loss grief isn't a linear journey with an end point.

Absolutely gut wrenching. My wife and I also lost our first baby, Callen, at 20 weeks into the pregnancy due to that darned emb cord. Absolutely gut wrenching and heart breaking. Took us a long, long time to come to the realization that these things happen and we were not to blame. The what if questions absolutely destroy you on the inside, but leaning on others and talking helps ease those questions. We did not quite realize how common and how many people we knew, pretty closely, went through something similar. That period of feeling alone, and like you did something wrong is tough to take, but with the help of others and leaning on my wife and family really got us two through that dark time. Weve got two girls now, but still have those what if questions creep in from time to time. I know the McCourtys won’t read this message, but to them and everyone affected by this type of scenario, realize you are not to blame and not alone in those dark times. Rely on your friends and family, and you will push through.

O God Prayers prayers im crushed for him ive been here
No one told me grief felt like fear. When it happens to you, you feel the anguish will never end. Yep.
What works is listening to what their needs are.

I think it would be a nice gesture if Ian put together a condolence letter and have it signed (electronically) by the entire Patsfans roster. Just to let them know that their fans are their fans through good times and bad and we root for him off the field as well as when he is on it.

Let him know that our small community is there for him and his family during this sad time.

EDIT: Actually, for the sake of getting moving on this, I'm going to do it this way as it worked well last time:

Send your note via email to the following: [email protected]

If possible, try and submit them all by Wednesday 6/3. I'll print them all off and get them together, and then I'll get them sent out from there.
