Jules wants out?

If I'm Edelman, I'd rather not take a bunch of hits and potential injuries/concussions amid a 90+ reception year just to go 9-7 - or blown out on Wild Card weekend in a best case scenario. That's assuming he doesn't get lit up and hospitalized midway through the season from a poorly thrown/placed ball from Stidham.
Stidham or any Rookie will have growing pains there is some truth to this post

Edelman should ask to go somewhere where he has a shot of winning a title or retire. There is nothing to gain on a treadmill team like the Pats.

I thought it was going to be the Chargers - I knew they'd make a serious run at Brady. And when I played Charger GM, I said I would then trade for Edelman, maybe even the right to Gronk.

TB doesn't need Gronk, but I wouldn't be surprised at all if they make a play for Edelman. It makes too much sense for both teams right now.

Would Tom rather have OJ or Jules?
Id do OJ straight up

Ya I'm with the others. OJ's cap hit is less than 4 mil and he doesn't need to run many routes to be effective with Brady. I would not trade him 1 for 1.

Only makes sense if the Pats get a 2nd round pick, which they won't

Why would the Bucs do that deal?
Because not only will Jules flourish there and continue the romance which will make Brady very thrilled and give them better chances to win games.
Jules could also help Evans and Godwin learn what Tom expects from them like a coach on the field for them as is Tom.
That's definitely worth a third or honestly a package for OJ Howard from them.

Brady loves throwing to TEs. Unless Howard is a complete bust, or there's a first round pick coming back, it makes no sense for the Bucs to trade him away.

If he had his choice of Howard or Edelman who do you think he would pick?

He's not making the final personnel decisions. With a WR rich draft coming up, and 2 quality WRs already on the team, The Bucs can grab one after they get their tackle, so why would they give up a TE for one?

Brady hates rookie WRs no matter now how good they are he won’t look their way.

I get that you've decided to go full troll. But do that crap with someone else. M. Mitchell proves your silly argument to be, well, silly.

Not a troll Mitchell was the exception of the rule.
We can think of one wr that clicked with Brady as a rookie.

Branch as well, and there’s an argument to be made for Dobson’s rookie year since the stats were similar. I think the bigger issue is just the offense is really complicated for WRs which attributes to having issues clicking with TB.

I can agree the offense is a huge factor in rookies not developing at wr.
I could be wrong but also feel Tom has lost patience and I think kind of froze guys out the last few seasons.
Such a shame about Mitchell
I feel maybe Tom became such a perfectionist he lost patience in young players to develop.
I would bet that WRs develop under Stidham maybe a product of the offense getting simpler and modified.

Because Edelman is an exceptional player, as well as Brady’s go to when in trouble. And Arians has never been a coach who uses his TE’s much, and they can use Brate in his stead. I’m not saying it will happen but that’s not that bad a deal for Tampa Bay given they just went all in on Brady.

How did Chad Jackson, Brandon Tate, Taylor Price, Aaron Dobson, and Kenbrell Thompkins do when they left New England and no longer had that mean Tom Brady to hold them back?
