It's easy, and only takes a few moments.I’ll never understand how fans don’t understand that teams never try to tank. That’s a fan made phenomenon. Look at the Dolphins last year, fans were rooting for “Tank for Tua”, that didn’t happen, I think they won 4 of their last 5. They still may may get him, but they wanted to win.Trade Gilmore for as much 2021 draft ammo as possible... Dump everyone, tank for Trevor... Next year's schedule is ridiculous, complete with a bunch of West coast games... Might as well take the 4-12
Were you not around when Indianapolis blatantly tanked and was on the verge of throwing games to get Luck?I’ll never understand how fans don’t understand that teams never try to tank. Remember Bledsoe’s first year, they were 1-11, and finished 5-11. No team/organization TRIES to tank.
By tanking, BB would lose a little respect to me. Hes GOAT coach. I want him to prove it by showing us how he deals with this. Im not expecting SB or afccg, but can he bring us a 9 win team? If not, thats okay but it might add to the Brady was the dynasty narrative.

Garoppolo wasn’t a sure product. He had two and a half good games in NE. Gilmore is DPOY. We also got a first out of Brandin Cooks so....
That thread is a disaster so I deleted it. Let's just start fresh.
Also no - definitely do not trade Gilmore, that's dumb. Only way that makes sense is if they were going for a full-on tank job but I can't believe Bill would ever do that. Otherwise, Gilmore is probably the single most important player on the roster.
Trade the defensive player of the year, how about no.
People finally see the light I’ve been trying to shineWhy not? Turning 30 this year, and the Pats have to rebuild. Trading him, if the compensation is decent, seems like the best thing to do. By the time this team is competitive in the playoffs again, he will be well past his prime.

As the post suggests?
Load up with youth and cap.
Depends on what is offered. Gimore has 2-3 all pro caliber years left. It is possible the rebuild may be over in that time. Unlikely but possible. I would say this is a question more for next year. Also depends what is offered.
Maybe, but the Colts sure looked like they tanked for Luck. LolI’ll never understand how fans don’t understand that teams never try to tank. That’s a fan made phenomenon. That's a potentially really good secondary, but I don't know if I believe it's top 5 without Gilmore on it.it would be a hard no if Gilmore was covering up a patchwork secondary, but even without him, we would have a top 5 secondary. Even if they traded him, you still march out
Jon Jones
Jason McCourty
JC Jackson
JJ Williams
It would fully depend on what you could get, but the needs at other positions are far greater than they are at cornerback now.
