Jules wants out?

Hold the price firm at a 2nd round pick and make em squirm. Might not get it, but might ultimately get a pretty good offer.

We're under no obligation to trade him and he's worth a lot more to Tampa than any other team who has a short title window and wants to keep Tom happy.
Might get a fourth...

Jules will never hold out, come on. He'll be there and he'll play his hardest.

He’ll be here but might decide to preserve his body a bit

Edelman is probably a good fit. other than Tampa, for Minnesota and Cousins. Minny has tons of picks as well. That said, not sure it makes sense to trade him, considering his contract status.

It makes no sense to trade Edelperson UNLESS Tampa is desperate enough to offer something way high like a #2, maybe with the Pats giving back a 5th. I do not see Tampa catering to Brady to that degree.

I hope he does get traded there. Edelman is one of my favorite all time Pats and will get in the Pats HOF no matter what. That being said, we are in full rebuild mode and if it makes him happier to be with Brady then that's fine. Get some value, send him where he wants to go and thank him for his service.

I presume that you mean that the QB and receiver positions are in "full rebuild mode". The defense, OL, RB's, ST's are in "business as usual" mode.

And yes, I know that we need 3-4 front seven players, not really unusual. This year's defensive unit that needs improvement is the middle of the front (DT and ILB). We have free agency, the draft and trades (as usual) to address this need.

Supposedly Tom has some level of "roster control" there. Curious how far that goes.

I say trade him. Try for a 2 and would accept a 3. Nothing higher than a 3 is acceptable.

Jules and 87 for OJ Howard and 45?

Wait till the trade deadline for a team looking for a WR to potentially put them over the top and fleece them (like the falcons did to us)

Can edelman even pass a physical? Didn’t just have surgery?

I hope Edelman is moved in a Draft day Trade. Wouldn't want him on this anemic Offense he would get killed. Edelman deserves to finish his career on contender and not a rebuilding project.

How do you know the offense will be anemic? It's March.

If you want to trade JE, the reason is saving cap space and draft picks and not because they will be unable to move the ball as JE helps w that.

Besides for it to make sense JE needs to have a June 1 designation

In today’s Globe, Trollin’ Volin wrote:

This conflicts with what others have written in this thread. I thought that because of a $6 million dead cap hit that trading or releasing Edelman would only give them $1 million in cap relief this year. Can Miguel or any of our posters who is familiar with the salary cap comment on this? Thanks.

Only a blind Homer would think that this Offense will be any good. rob the Talent blows period no decent vet in their right minds on O would want to come here. A lot of growing pains coming in 2020. 6-10 Team minus Brady and that might even be a stretch.

The offensive personnel wise looks awful right now. However, I could see them running a lot different offense next year with Stidum or whoever to catch up with the times. This could help @captain stone’s favorite RB “sore knee” have more running room as RB’s seem to like running out of the read option offense rather than straight up with FB’s.

Ditto with jet sweep Harry. Changing the offense so he doesn’t have to be clairvoyant will help him just get to a spot rather than thinking of a bunch of different scenarios after the snap.

If this doesn’t help, then they just suck.
