Brady gone

He's going to have to learn to deal with the humidity down there, for sure.

Tom Brady has a better record when down 18+ points at half time then he does when the temperature is over 85F. Or something like that anyway :D

I'm glad he left. It is best for all concerned. I don't feel jilted in the least and I am looking forward to the season to see how the Patriots adapt/improvise/rebuild. I'm more amused at the "chicken littles" who are Brady fans more than Patriot fans.

Yep there are plenty here. Can’t cope.

Just picture Stiham hoisting the lombari after our dueling Tom in a shootout
Would love it, but Tom is Keyser Soze. He's going to kill Garoppolo's 49ers family in the NFCCG, then burn the pride of Foxborough to the ground like he did to Atlanta. The police will be interviewing us to figure out what happened and all we'll be able to mutter is:

What specifically is it about BB that makes TFB tired of him? Tom is a hard worker, OK OTAs aside, he still sets the example. Works hard off season.
Both of them are very critical of mistakes. Are folks thinking Tom just wants a situation where he makes 2-3 turn overs in a game and next Monday the coach in game review says "No biggie! We're onto next Sunday's TO fest!"?
I could see TFB frustrated with BB's sub par draft picks.
I could see TFB frustrated with in my view Kraft's hasty AB jettison.
I could see TFB frustrated hearing Gisele ***** & moan about Bob's excellent adventures in FL and tiring of his sanctimony, especially after his below weak support on Deflategate.

IMO it wasn't any one thing.

My top 3 are:
-Contract/underpaid
-Tired of the negativity/grind of the program (i.e system)
-Gradual change in overall life outlook (kids, OTAs, Gisele nirvana, etc)

Maybe talent on offense. I dunna know. Tom was a crank-ass last year and had his moments. Who knows.

I would place my bet on the fact that Brady, over the last year or so realized that BB just wasn't going to pull the trigger to build around him for one last run at the expense of crashing the program after Brady retired.

BB is instead retooling with a 2-3 year program in mind, as far as getting back to being competitive.

While he's not tanking this year, he's essentially writing it off as a rebuild.

LOL

No f-ing way in hell BB was giving Tom $50m guaranteed.

Nor should nor should any other team have. Little bit less than I thought but boy he took them for a ride. He better be MVP Brady no questions asked. No old man injuries keeping him out of practice. No sir.

Brady is the GOAT without question and i apprrciate all he has done for our franchise. But he is dead to me now.

This is psychotic FYI.

I would add that I'm not even sure Belichick COULD reload for one last run with Brady, even if he wanted to. I don't think the cap space is there to pull it off unless Brady took less money that he'd realistically be willing to accept in the first place. To really do it and have it actually work Brady would have to take some crazy low deal because of the overall state of the team's salary cap space.

The miracle is that it took this long to reach a point where they just couldn't square the circle of keeping Brady vs. building the roster.

That contract is unreal at age 43. Another record for Tom. Good for him. Well deserved.

I would reverse these and add the TB12 grift to the top. Think the fallout reported over that and banning Guerrero and such was real.

Excellent thinking by PP2 & sean10mm on this topic

All Bob had to do was say, "We were hoping he would end his career here but we just couldn't come to an agreement." Instead he said that and the other BS.

That's called semantics... He could also have said. " Yeah did ya see his stats last year? He's 43 and our job is to project his football value for next year.. not to acquiesce for sad fans who can't let go."

Brady left.. he wanted more money. Everything is there for fans to see and understand. When they wipe away the tears and pay attention to reality.

Anybody know if Alex is gonna be there in Tampa?

Yea I didn't really put them in order but I tend to agree.

Now I think BBs Top 4 are:
-Age
-Money
-Performance
-Future

I think they already did go all-in in 2017-18. Contrast their philosophy to 2008-09. They didn’t unload any veterans for draft picks this time. Of course, going “all in” wasn’t as apparent because the young talent via draft has been so sparse.
