That’s an interesting addition, because he doesn’t fit their profile at all. He’s smaller but also way more athletic than Develin. His college receiving production hasn’t translated to the NFL, but the physical talent is there.

He was a 99th percentile athlete for the position at the combine. Develin isn't much of an athlete for a fullback, since he's a converted defensive lineman. Different types of players but definitely a guy I'm sure Belichick is excited to get on the field.

He is relatively short but not a small guy, as you can see here. 4.6 speed pre-draft. Based upon his IG post, he is recovering from a knee injury or surgery.

He is really versatile. Not saying Brady isn't a huge loss, but with Stidham and Vitale, you can already run many more plays than you could run with Brady and Develin. Opens it up for McDaniel.
