The Pats need a new direction on draft/FA signings

Cyrus Jones, Jordan Richards, and Duke Dawson are typical Patriot's picks who
were drafted many rounds too early and turned out to be duds. It is interesting that
UDFAs J.C, Jackson. Jonathan Jones, and Malcolm Butler are very good players.

Draft Utah State QB Jordan Love. He has it all (arm strength, fundamentals etc..) Just teach him the mental aspects of how to play the QB position.

He’s going too 10 at the worst maybe too 5
I would love to go up and get him.

Damn, I didn’t know he was that highly touted. Thought he’d fly under the radar a bit.

Agreed some act like you can't improve upon those things as 20/21 year old kid. He's a curious case. Reminds me of Stidham in the most general sense. Love had an unbelievable 2018. Up & down 2019 with some awful mistakes but you look at what a prospect can do as opposed to what he can't.

The tools & traits he has you don't teach. What he's lacking or needs to improve on can absolutely be taught. He definitely played some hero ball this past year. The offense looked different imo. Decision making & mechanics can be tinkered with.

I'd be a little surprised if he went top 10 but who knows. He has to answer a lot of questions. The process, interviews will be huge for him like so many.

I was actually reviewing him last night for fun. Been a fav for a min now.

I’ve seen him mocked with the Dolphins first pick but also saw a thread saying teams could trade as high as 3 for him.

I haven’t seen a single mock of him even going in the 1st round.

Yea I'd take those with a grain of salt. You really can't trust most mocks but he's a QB & if teams are uncertain abt Tua they'll bite on Love big time.
Kinda like how every year there are "risers, players that fall". That doesn't actually happen. Its just the media being wrong & up to speed with team once the draft rolls around.

The Dolphins will get Tua. The Chargers and Panthers are probably looking for a QB too.

From now on the Pats should only draft future Pro-Bowlers or--better yet--Hall of Famers!

Tons of busts lately. Harry is a bum. Just abysmal. Metcalf is so much better.

Wish we could get Trevor Lawrence but it would take a down year next season. Idk what stidham is yet but lawrence is one of those once in a generation QBs.

Can we give him another year? I’m disappointed as well but maybe he can work on getting a faster release off the line.
That & have him watch guys like Adam T, Thomas & Hopkins. Players that are great at winning the top of the route.

In the last 4 drafts we drafted 5 starters. That’s not very good.

Wynn and Sony I know you are counting came from the same Draft and one have to wonder IF Sony is really a Starter. Yeah it's pretty pathetic!
