I hate playing teams with nothing to play for the last game of the season. They can pull out all the stops, and play recklessly. Not to mention playing spoiler to the Pats 1st round bye will get you free drinks in any city not Boston. It's hard to defend because you never know what they're gonna do. I know we're not playing stellar, but, it just sucks our opponent can just trow caution to the wind every play if they wish.
He ran the play that was called. He doesn't have the freedom to go four yards instead of one before he runs into the flat. That route doesn't call for it to go to the sticks because the idea is that against certain coverages he's open and you get it to him and he can run. That's the call there. The Dolphins ended up having the right coverage called and a guy was right on top of him. He was never going to get the first down with that coverage scheme unless the defensive back just utterly whiffed. The fact that he caught the ball at all was a victory, it's possible Brady was throwing wide since he knew the play was dead anyways.
I'd put White in the flat and DEMAND the defense respect the dink and dunk-- pass to him and get 3-5 yards every play. Then, when they commit to the flat, use Edelman over the middle and Harry and Dorsett over the top.
This is a good example of two critical posts - one is fine because it criticizes the team. One is irritating because it criticizes the board itself. What’s the point of going after your fellow posters? No one’s excited about the performance right now.
Experience at screwing up your route running is not what's needed in week 17. But I think the call for Meyers was more of a general one, rather than one aimed specifically at Harry.
Wow... this is absolutely embarrassing ..bye on the line, bill gives up before the half, Brady playing like a third stringer, Fitzmagic destroying the defense...this is so bad
