2020 Mock Drafts

TE have to be Tops on the menu and maybe WR again Gordon/Dorsett will be FA's.

DT. do we even have a DT under contract for next year. Safety as well.

There are some really good defensive tackles in this draft.

Brown of auburn is a monster but probably off the board by the time we pick.

Davis of Alabama is my personal favorite. He can also be a 3-4 defensive end.

Lawrence of LSU has had a huge year. He can really bring it.

DT have some interesting 1st round talent, but I believe 2019 class were more talented

S have Xavier Mckinney from bama, really like him

TE is a huge need, but do any draft gurus of the forum see a clear 1st round talent? I can't for now, but Maybe later in the season

WR has a ridiculous potencial this year, but I think all of the "stars" are off the board when we pick (jeudy, ruggs, lamb, Higgins, laviska...). Also isn't the most pressing need.

I don't think we get another qb for now

Still very early, a lot will chance until the draft

Marvin Wilson of FSU noteworthy too, my top 3 DTs are Brown>Davis>Wilson and then a dropoff

I think Wilson is a lot better than Davis. Wilson fights with Brown for the #1 spot with Kinlaw #3

safety Patrick Chung, Joejuan Williams (CB),Malik Gant , Jonathan Jones (CB), Duron Harmon, Terrence Brooks.

tackle Michael Bennett (DE), Lawrence Guy, Byron Cowart

Chung is 33 next year, those are others are depth pieces or corners.

Coverage is still king in the NFL so I would welcome a stud safety.

In our pattern matching cover 3 defense, safeties that can tackle, cover pass routes and communicate the calls are vital to any success.

I expect bb to start looking for some young guys in case our current starters get hurt.

Been going over safety’s for this years class so far, for a couple of reasons we need to get younger there and there seems to be a good amount of talent in that area this year. I’ve seen mocks where Grant Delpit has fallen to us as well as Xavier McKinney. If either one of these fall to us in the first round I’d be buzzing. Both are very very good.

I would take McKinney at 32

Tentatively, I would like to see us go dt Davis of Alabama in the first round. Ot Adams of Washington, og brederson of michigan, and wr Edwards of sc in the third round. In the fourth round we take te pickney of Vanderbilt.

This 7-rounder from CBSSports.com seems . . . implausible.

29. Patriots: Tee Higgins, WR, Clemson
93. Patriots: Devin Duvernay, WR, Texas
99. Patriots (proj. comp pick): Anfernee Jennings, EDGE, Alabama
101. Patriots (proj. comp pick): Jake Fromm, QB, Georgia
126. Patriots (via Bears): Jacob Breeland, TE, Oregon
137. Patriots: Nick Coe, DE, Auburn
191. Patriots (via Broncos): David Dowell, S, Michigan State
214. Patriots (proj. comp pick): Erroll Thompson, LB, Mississippi State
216. Patriots (proj. comp pick): Aaron Fuller, WR, Washington
221. Patriots (via Falcons): Robert Landers, DT, Ohio State
230. Patriots (via Eagles): Justin Herron, OT, Wake Forest

Would love for Fromm to be 12's successor, doubt he falls that far if he enters

Also should note with this year's FA class at WR, we're gonna have to keep drafting

PSU has a kid Dan Chisena. Former track athlete who just came out for football. Fastest kid on team at 6’3” 202kb. He’s a killer gunner on ST. Listed as a WR. Really, just a special teams player. We’ll draft him and a K this year

1. Day 1: I’d love a stud WR or TE to complement Harry, but I don’t see it happening. I think they’ll go get a DT, as I see this as a year where I there will be some talent available in the 20s - 30s.

2. Day 2: could be back to the “overdraft safety” nightmare but I actually think they will go TE or WR here. I think Joejuan will be in the safety pool and out of the CB pool next year so maybe that’s how they will move on from Chung.

3. Day 3: I see them focusing on the OL again. especially if Thuney goes (which I expect). Cajuste and Froholdt may take care of some of that, but with Andrews’ future a question mark, I’d expect a center and a guard.

Just "scouted" him a few weeks ago, intersting you say that because I liked him a lot as a late round flier/UDFA...track star speed and seems strong, PSU deploys him similar to how he deployed Hogan his first year here (and how Hogan was used in BUF), would love him as a dart throw on Day 3

Too early for me to think of this, but this team could use a lot...a lot of retirements are on the horizon

I’m almost looking at two scenarios.
1. TB12 comes back
2. He doesn’t

If he’s back, which I hope. Our cap space is limited. Doubt if we can afford Thuney. Slide Wynn to LG and take a T. Jones from Houston is a good fit for us IMO.

I think we’ll trade for OJ Howard. One of supplementary picks in 3rd.

I think we can get a good receiving prospect with our 3rd. If we don’t listen to BB or Nick

Got a couple of injured guys back in Develin and Andrews. We hope.

Hope Harry and the red-shirts can contribute. Harris, Cajuste and Freholdt. Our offense should be significantly better.

pretty good chance we no longer have a 1st round pick
