The masturbation of Chad Jackson

Midway through the offseason I talked about Jackson staying in NE the entire offseason to rehab, workout at gillette and study his playbook. McDaniels was among those I mentioned talking about Jackson's studies/work habits.

Anways, the fallowing excerpt echoes this, and goes into further detail:

Good for him. He was young and fairly unsophisticated as many players are.

Glad he caught on to the way to go, he'll get a lot of help on this team with that type of attitude.

Oh, and screw you Alison and your other three user names.

Come on folks. Shouldn't our focus this week be on flogging the Dolphins?

<< Come on folks. Shouldn't our focus this week be on flogging the Dolphins? >>

Seriously now... how much focus does that require?

u know what i like about Jackson more than his speed? His size. Hes got the TO build. look at soem pictures of him..hes very big, muscular WR with speed.

i hope we can at lesst put him at PRs if hes back soon. I know Welkers done a nice job but last year Jackson had 3 nice returns on only 3 attempts.

for size comparasion
TO: 6"3 218 (listed)
CJ: 6"1 215 (listed)

wouldnt suprise me if both were over 220 though. itd be a dream to wish a guy to be as good as Owens has been in the league(minus the dropped passes) but Jacksons gonna be a terror when he gets the ball

I'm excited that he is being mentored by Moss. CJ certainly has the physical abilities... technique and experience is what he needs, and he has the best in the business teaching him.

Hmm this is good news to hear that Moss is helping out Chad Jackson.
If Chad matures the Pats WR corps could be even MORE talented next season!
Scary thought huh?
Or it will allow the Pats to save money by not picking up the option on Stallworth in year 2. We'll see how it goes but everything is looking up thus far for the Pats offense.

I can't believe a dude named "Cleo Lemon" is the starting QB for Miami

We can only hope Jackson comes back from this injury and produces. I will say you're correct about his physical build. He's got an overall very strong body, with long muscular arms and big hands. He wasn't just a physical specimen in college though, as he cought 88 passes his final year, rarely dropped balls, averaged a TD every 9.7 receptions, and was the SEC's leading receiver. During his rookie year while fighting through injuries he didn't produce much from a receptions stand point (only 13) but three of those receptions went for TD's, which shows he does have a nose for the endzone. Anyways, I just hope the guy can get healthy and stay healthy, then maybe we'll see what he can do.

The fallowing photos kind of echoe you're comparison to the build of TO:

lol not the best pictures to prove the "build" but yeah. the 2 recent pics from practice 1 running the bags behind Moss and then 1 talking to Maroney during stretches reminded me how big he is

i remember before draft, scott wright interviewed him and Chad say "I have the body of Owens and the speed of Williamson"

I can't believe an intelligent football discussion actually took root in this thread! It's like an immaculate conception. Only less wholesome. Anyhow...

Now that Jackson has ceased to be an abstract concept in the trainers room and become an actual player on the practice field, it's interesting to hear the rhetoric shifting on the board. Slowly but surely, we're all remembering how we felt when the Patriots managed to nab CJ in the 2nd round. The kid has serious potential. I'm hoping to see him grab hold of the kick return job first and foremost.

Someone else said something simular about him. I believe it was "TO with speed" or something like that, so yea you're not the only person who's noticed the simularity in their builds.

Oh, and I changed those photos up a bit.

TO has speed. wether he runs his 40 under a 4.4 or not..very fast on the field. TO with hands is more like it

but the interview was "Body of TO, speed of Troy Williamson"

hes got big/strong legs..big/long arms. physically..hes waht u want. we'll see how he does with playbook and routes

TO has good speed, but very good RAC ability which his speed is partly responsible but his stength and ability to break tackles have a lot to do with that as well. While his speed is good it's not at the same level as Jackson's.

I noticed the pic of Chad with Maroney:

Here's one of the Patriots new CB Eddie Jackson:

CJ seems to be a combination of TO and Moss to me physically. I think he has a great future in front of him, particularly if Moss keeps schooling him.

Yea, Cleo's actually not that bad of a QB, and he can scramble a little.

Wow, i've never even heard of him.

Where's he from originally?
