2019 College football season thread

Refs screwed Penn State so badly on that call back. And then decided to call a flag on every play after that. Literally every play

@KontradictioN i was drunk through most of the game, so maybe my analysis is wrong, but it seemed like Florida never even tried to throw off the timing of their offense. LSU was just easily getting guys open in the middle of the field. Obviously it’s hard to jam when their bunching their receivers, but it wasn’t like they did that on every pass play

We played a LOT more zone than I can remember our defense playing the last couple of years. I think they were trying to limit the big play, and Burrow is HIGHLY accurate, so it makes sense. But holy **** did they get carved up anyway. I’d be surprised if Florida fell far. We gave them all they could handle until the end and we did in primetime at the hardest road venue to play at in college football.

trask was awesome until that pick. Changed the whole game. If they tie it there. Who knows. They may of pulled it off.

I give credit to the o line. Was not sure how they’d perform in that environment but they played well for a majority of the game. Gonna be tough for LSU to win on Tuscaloosa. I don’t think they’ll get enough stops

I think it’ll be a high scoring affair but wouldn’t be surprised if LSU lost by two touchdowns. What the hell happened to Georgia yesterday? I was at an Oktoberfest in Jax Beach and didn’t get a chance to watch that game.

Obviously the losses are disappointing for Florida and Georgia but Both teams control their own destiny. Win out including the SEC title and your in the playoff

from what I saw Georgia just couldn’t get anybody open. Took some chances down field and guys were just blanketed. I think coming into the season the most questionable part of their team/weakness was their receiving group

That’s a tall task, though. They’ll have to win the ****tail game then beat Alabama/LSU in the SEC Championship to do it.

true but my point is they can afford the loss because they still control their own destiny. I mean if you’re gonna lose 1 of the 13 games, better to lose now than in the sec title, and maybe not get in

Oregon could win out and potentially not get in, and they lost week 1 to a good opponent. If Ohio state, Clemson, and Ou run table. The luxuries of being in the SEC... which is the best I’ve seen this conference probably this decade

What’s the word on Trask? He came back out. I would keep Emory in, too. Opens up the ground game. This game would be more comfortable if we didn’t fumble the damn ball so many times early.
Like I said I was reading abt FF last week. Definitely wasn't committing 100% to a return. Spoke abt the rehab process & basically how he has to "detach" himself from the team.
Would you guys/fanbase really want him back if he wanted to stay in Florida? Idk how much a change of scenery would help at this point esp coming off that injury?

Idk was just thinking where he could land & the options might be there but I dont think would be nearly as good as Florida. Like I dont see him upgrading to a OK or we. So Flo might be the best he's got but would they even want him. Whats the feeling down there?

I think Mullen would take him back but the offense has been much better without him and how long will Jones want to ride the line?

Yea w Franks I felt like you're hoping/praying for 4 quarters. Walking on eggshells hoping he doesnt implode.

Alls I got to say is Joe Burrow WOW

These refs in the Syracuse/Pitt game have got to be blind.

Man, South Carolina got ****ed today on some very badly missed calls LMAO. There was blatant holding by the Gators the entire way on the 75 yard run for the TD and then a BLATANT pick play on Pitts’ touchdown catch. I thought Muschamp was going to keel over from a heart attack.

I always thought that Burrow deserved a longer look at Ohio State. He throws a nice ball.

He’s very accurate too. LSU vs Alabama could be the game of the year.

Very much looking forward to player introductions in Penn State/Michigan tonight. That crowd is like nothing else when they have a White Out.

@fightingirish595 I’m making a boy’s trip up to this game next year. One of the groomsmen in my wedding is a PSU alum.
