So, the RB position is supposed to be one of the easiest positions for kids coming out of college to the NFL. With Rex out the last few weeks and Sony struggling, why isn't Harris given a shot to see what he's got?
Obvious answer is that he hasn't shown enough in practice..which is concerning since as stated, RB position isn't supposed to be a hard transition. Thoughts?

For some reason bb doesn't agree with us

The 6x SB winning coach watches this guy in practice every day and thinks he does not deserve to see the field. Brandon Bolden is a similar player, probably more productive in the SEC than Harris was, with way more experience, and also plays special teams. Why do you think Harris is a better option than Bolden right now?

You can actually see the field from the bench...

Because he would struggle more behind this OL maybe or he isn't nearly as good as Michel in terms of blitz pickup?

Why? Michel and white are more the capable of handing the carries right now.

Pass protection is my guess. That is the hardest part for these young guys to learn, especially if they haven't done it much (or at all) in college. It's especially important right now considering the OL struggles. Michel looked fine in pass pro Thursday night. I saw him totally up-end a guy at one point.

I suspect he and possibly Michael Bennett will be involved in an imminent deal for O lineman/TE/WR.

I think Sony looks horrible. Yes OL isn't helping, but he has no burst, no speed, and goes down too easily.

I think they need someone who can pound the rock..Sony isn't that guy. Horrible in short yardage and looks like a JAG.

He was last year.

The line is not the same nor are the TEs but he is the same player

He looks like a JAG and Brady isn't the same QB . Do you think two missing linemen have something to do with it?

Funny how when Brady is looking off it’s immediately time to blame the OL, but when Michel is looking off it’s anything except the OL.

Maybe we need to change the name of this forum from the NE Patriots Forum to the NE Bradys Forum.

James White was only active for 3 games in his rookie season, how'd that work out?

James White had 14 touches and only saw the field 3 games his rookie year. I'm sure all the people calling bust from the soapbox feel justified.

I'm not shocked he's getting a red shirt year and I don't think this indicates one way or the other how he's doing in practice. This year with all the change and instability at the receiver position having stability at the running back position makes a lot of sense.
